Just wanted to let everyone know that this video has been falsely claimed and monetized by someone known as LatinAutorPerf(It's not the RU-vid channel but some random company/person). I've disputed the claim in order to get the ads removed but that could take up to 90 days. Sorry for the ads that are now on this video.(If ads were already on this video before it was due to RU-vid themselves as my channel isn't even eligible for monetization)
Erwin really was ahead of his time. He predicted: 1. People outside the walls 2. Additional enemy titan shifters 3. That our enemies arent just titans List goes on, dude was built different.
Yo be honest Erwin has a lot of experience. Armin is probably smarter, but he lacks experience and leadership. He also doesn't trust himself enough. He'd be a very good second in command but not the best commander in my opinion.
@@Voidaken ? First of all it was Erwin's dad who predicted that people exist outside the walls too and that King fritz has wiped all their memories.. Erwin was just moving forward to prove his dad's theory which he wholeheartedly believed in
I felt that in this scene, Erwin was testing to see if Eren may be the traitor since Eren is as far as they know a Titan and they wouldve mostly been wary of him still
Yes. I thought that Erwin was the one that had the titans killed to see how Eren would react. But it turns out it was Annie. So Erwin just took advantage of the situation to test him.
Y'all they literally explain it in the show. Erwin took many people aside and asked them strange, non-distinct questions. The correct answer is "There might be other Titans hiding in the military." Those who responded along those lines would have been let in on the plan to draw out one of those Titans, lure it into the Forest, contain them, and extract the shifter from their immobilized Titan. That's why Erwin "baited the hook" so to speak when he informed every regiment about the information hidden in Grisha's cellar in Shiganshina. We know there are those who answered correctly, because obviously, there were plenty involved who set up all the devices in the forest. Even Levi's Squad didn't know what the plan was, because none of them answered properly. Additionally, those who were members before the Raid on Shiganshina were let in on the plan as well, since they were accounted for before Annie, Reiner, and Bertholdt snuck in during the confusion.
OK now I really want a version of Attack on Titan where Erwin figured out the time manipulation component early on and spent the next 3 seasons trying to outmaneuver Eren four years in the future. The man could do it.
@@jadedfirez792 then erwin would make an unwinnable scenario that makes seeing into the future irrelevant, seeing into the future doesnt matter if you cant do anything about it
Sir everyone knows that. This is clearly a very long running joke. This Eren's scene is used in other anime as well to make jokes. Will you say "oH gOsH dArNiT eReN bElOnGs tO aOt hE cAnT bE hErE" and then you put a crying face in there from that meme
I think it’s pretty clear Erwin was talking about their being a mole within their military, not outside the walls with the pure titan. Not everything has to be connected to S4.
Not only that, Erwin believes humanity exists outside the walls. He believes Titan shifters are the enemy, but there are unknown enemies beyond the walls. What he did not know, and could not have guessed, was that everyone outside was an enemy.
@@AqwtinyHe didn’t say anything about season 4 though what does this have to do with the original comment? You basically said the same thing with less details
in that season erwin pointed out with that, that the enemy are those who are not revealing the truth and that it isnt easy to figure out who is really behind certain situations. But he always guessed something bigger on the horizon.
I think he figured that if he asked that question, and somebody answered saying that not only are titans the enemy, other humans are too, he could let them in on the plan to capture the female titan, because an enemy wouldn't reveal something so crucial
Secretly Erwin knew what Erin was going to see so he decided to ask this question at this point in time so future Erin could think he was in control and tell past Erwin it was the wrong time to ask the question but really Erwin’s ultimate plan was coming together. Don’t know why this is gaining attention but it was joke… although it sounds like it could have been true 😏
When he said this, I first thought it was about humanity fighting with each other, i.e., the Survey Corps vs the MPs, but as the show progresses it could've also meant other things like hinting that Erwin knew about more about the Titans' nature or other humans outside the walls as the actual enemy. The fact that all of these could be correct answers of Erwin's question just gores to show how advanced he was.
I think he was testing to see if Eren was an enemy. He acted genuinely confused, which helped prove his innocence, because one of the enemy shifters would have tried to cover their tracks by suggesting some sort of red herring, or simply it say “I don’t know”
he was seeing if Eren figured it out too. if he did, he would be let in on the plan. the enemy shifters would've acted confused too, because they wouldn't think Erwin figured it out, and would be surprised by the question.
No he said “what do you think the enemy is” I think he is talking about the titans being human. Or that there are enemies outside the island who are the real enemy that are sending the titans to the island. He is not talking about eren.
I think it's a little more obvious and he had an idea that the enemies are some of the scouts and he was hinting Eren at that. I think there even was a part in one of the episodes where they discussed Erwin asking all the scouts this question, and the ones that had a guess that there's a traitor among them knew that the plan of the mission was to lure female titan or something like that
Erwin must've figured that if Eren can transform into a Titan and keep his intelligence, then the armoured and colossal titan whom have shown that are coordinated and intelligent must be humans with abilities like Eren.
@@YoBoiHrcky Grisha was able to see future Eren because he had the attack titan. In the finale, Eren was able to commumicate with all subjects of ymir at any point in past and future because he had the founder's ability. However, It's shown that he could only directly communicate with subjects of ymir during the period he he had the founder's ability.
@@baggelissonic Well technically, Eren had the founder from season 1. If he could've controlled Dina Fritz's titan, he definitely could've communicated with Erwin
@@YoBoiHrcky yeah but he never did that and taking into account how the whole past and future thing existing at the same time was left up to the reader's imagination, it's hard to know for sure whether he could do much other than controlling another titan with royal blood. In any case, you clearly know the lore of the series and your initial comment was just a joke, but it's still interesting to analyze whether this could happen.
I want to see this happen for everything. Going into episodes of Barney and saying “You aren’t supposed to teach kids about numbers today” or something.
Erwin would've agreed with Eren. That's why Levi gave the serum to Armin. Levi knew what kind of man Erwin was, and he didn't want Erwin to lead anymore. Obviously, Levi didnt know what Eren was going to do in the future. But he could guess what Erwin would do.
Unfortunately, this can only happen for attack titan wielders. The finale does propose a very very convoluted way of this happening, so Imma just ignore it.
@@baggelissonic Because you responded to the video as if it wasn’t a joke…your comment is pointless everyone knows that he can only do this to attack titan wielders. You’re supposed to laugh not make a serious response to the funny video lol
When he asked Eren this question, I thought Erwin was plotting some shit against the humans himself because he seemed too confident in asking that question. I couldn't be more wrong.
I love how many different ways you can interpret this. But I feel like this was his way of testing Eren. If he'd been a traitor, we would have used that opportunity to deflect and point fingers at someone else. His sheer confusion at the question was a green flag.
Isn't it crazy that Eren only saw the future after touching Historia's hand, yet he said he will destroy the world in the first season. He always wanted that even before he knew the future.
Nothing crazy about that, it is revealed that Eren spoke to his younger self at the beginning of the show and cancelled his memories when he woke up , but left his feelings there , so he could move towards his goal
@@smileyent.3055 Huh? I watched the show and read the manga many times but they never revealed such a thing. He was not talking to himself. Otherwise, he wouldn't have to kill his own mother to motivate himself.
All the titans represented an aspect of the original Ymir. The Attack Titan represented her wish to be free. Any holder with this wish got "brainwashed" to seek out freedom. That's why Eren acts the way he is.
@@AntiCensorshipGamer Yes he did. Season 1 episode 25 right before he was about to devour Annie, in his rage mode he said "I'm going to destroy the entire world"
Erwin always suspected that the truth of the world was being actively covered up, so this idea he was presenting to Eren was not something that had just occurred to him. The evidence was pointing toward his assumptions being true. Even without knowing about who specifically the enemy was (the government? outsiders?) He assumed humans were somehow involved.
On one hand I wanna say that if Erwin had been picked things would have ended differently, but there’s so many plot holes forcing the ending that he probably would’ve been turned completely incompetent just like Armin for the sake of the ending.
This makes so much more sense in the dub haha, why does he ask what do you think the enemy is in the Japanese instead of who do you think the enemy is? They're trying to find the spy, what's eren supposed to say to what is the enemy, a titan?
To be fair, the ending scene with Mikasa and Eren at the cabin was foreshadowed in the very first chapter of the manga with Eren getting the memories of that future. The future-memory thing was planned from the start, but that scene was cut out of the anime for some reason (it was added back in the final season though).
