Well even that is a mistranslation because Genkai can't use it. Should be more of "The ultimate Kai that even Genkai couldn't achieve."

I think the reason genkai couldn’t use it was because she didn’t care about right and wrong and saving people. Sensui said something about the user needing a sense of obligation to save people or something like that, which genkai definitely never had

@@smitty372 He said that the user had to have the desire to change the world around them. Sensui had that desire, even if it were through twisted means, but Genkai didn't. She didn't really care about the world, either in saving it or destroying it.

That’s a dub line. Sensui never says that in the Japanese version. You’re correct that only Shinobu can access the Divine aura, but the correcting the world line was merely something Funimation added. It’s also implied that sacred energy is the only way for humans to achieve S class rank, as reiki has its limits.

@@bgvo4373 I always took sacred energy as being the ultimate evolution of spirit energy. As you're correct, while demon energy can grow without limits, spirit energy has limits & thus must undergo some type of metamorphosis in order to surpass those limits, hence sacred energy.

The dub takes too many liberties with everything. Toguro gets borderline unrecognizable at times. I honestly feel sad that this dub is so popular. Most likely among people who watched YYH in dub at first and thus this version became the canon for them.

@@user-un-known It ain't like this anime is loyal to the manga either. Yusuke's mom is basically non-existent at this point.

@@jp3813 Sure, it doesn't correlate 100%, but at least lines ain't changed to reflect whatever some random translators found funny.

@@user-un-known Those mostly concern throwaway lines though. Cutting out a supporting character is very significant. It pretty much undermines Yusuke seeing his mom weep for him in the first episode.

@@jp3813 No, they don't concern mostly throwaway lines. As I already stated, Toguro is barely recognizable at times, altering his character, for example. Toguro vs Genkai. Toguro vs Yusuke. Both fights got altered A LOT due to liberties of the dub. What viewer receives is very different. Though I guess you wouldn't feel it that sharply unless you're native in Japanese. Edit: Unless you picture exactly same person when you hear "Ssup dawg, wass pumping yo?" and "Hello my friend, how are things lately?". If you do... I have nothing further to say on this matter.

I personally love it, it's such hype "wtf" moment and to me it made enough sense to just accept this amazing madness I'm witnessing. Also made all the demon world and Raizen stuff possible in the next arc, which is some of my personal favorite.

@@rikudou947 what's wrong with that? I freaking love Yuu Yuu Hakusho but that was an asspull. Yeah, Togashi explained it nicely and set up the next arc with it. And since he made Sensui that strong he didn't have any other choice. Kurama, Hiei and Kuwabara together weren't a match for him. I wonder how the guys will react to that part.

Then how could it have been resolved?

@@smashbrandiscootch719 maybe not making Sensui S class equivalent. Kuwabara being able to cut through Uraotoko. Fight together, being able to actually beat him somehow. Just an idea. The demonkin part could have worked better with some foreshadowing. I wouldn't complain at all and yes, I'm nitpicky a little bit. It doesn't ruin my enjoyment of the series. YYH is a big part of my childhood and will be in my top 10 forever I'm sure of it. But in that case if somehow they win together, we didn't have that emotional part, damn, Chris Sabat did an amazing job as Kuwabara, the voice acting, the monologue. So memorable, so epic. Also we didn't have a proper setup for the next arc.

@ But there was foreshadowing, at least in the dub, wasn't there? Also wasn't this originally going to end with Kuwabara finishing the story and Yusuke being left dead?
