$400 Canadian = $315 USD. Here in US it costs $400 for key and programming. That = $507 CAD. You did really good compared to the US costs.

Yes, this winter took a while to get here but does not want to leave. The newer cars are just nice to look and nothing else, takes deep pockets to maintain. I can replace my keys at the hardware store for 5 bucks!

£256 when i had a key done for my V50 back a few yrs ago now (that was for the fob, key blade cut and programming)

Can i ask how the headlight washer painted cover attaches on the XC70 fender (Bumper) ? I know this is nothing to do with this ? Thanks

This is the reason why I have a copy of the emergency key blades along with the rest of my keys. Luckily I've never had to use it (knock on wood)

I also have been locked out from my S40 one time and I was forced to open the door with the same way...

Cheers from Winnipeg. I just stumbled across your channel. I love it. When I saw in one of your videos you were by Browns Social House, I wondered where in Canada you were. Do you have a shop in Winnipeg? I have a 2004 xc90 that I am loving learning about. I just realized mine has headlight washers that don't work. I noted no fuse, replaced it and it blew right away. Im sure mice are the criminals here too. Im looking forward to taking the front bumper off to check it out now that I know how thanks to you guys. At the same time the fuse blew, the car now won't start. It just clicks and the panel it flickering all the panel messages. It started well all day until then

I just did 2005 XC90 all keys lost (no remote control). Volvo dealer asked £600 in UK, crazy.

How did you accidentally lock yourself out? Just curious. I have never locked myself out, but I have accidentally erased all keys from programming in my car when I was playing around in Vdash, so I had to use it to reprogram both keys lol. No where near as expensive as at the dealer though.

I live in New Zealand and our dealer quoted me $400 NZ🤤 for a new fob and programming. It now feels expensive and cheap to me 😂.

Interesting, my 2011 S80 never allows me to lock any door if the key fob is inside... It has many antennas that detect the fey fob, happened many times to try to lock the doors with the key inside and the car refused to do it!

I'm getting charged $400 to half program my key fob.. Meaning just the chip but no programming for rest of the remote...
