Of course this isn't applicable now, but if you want to build your Soukaku for the future, it isn't actually that hard to reach the needed atk for the 1000 atk buff. At core passive lv7 and consuming vortex she buffs 40% of her atk, which means to reach 1000, she need 2500 atk. With her sig weapon, bashful demon, this can be done with one atk% main stat on your disk drives and a non-Hormone Punk 2 piece, as long as you have about 15% in substats which would be just having an atk% substat on each other piece (3% x 5). This gets her to roughly 2507 atk. calcs: lv60 + lv60 wep: 665 + 624 = 1289 wep adv stat + 1 main stat + 15% in substats: 25% + 30% + 15% = 70% > 1289 x 1.7 = 2191 slot 2 flat atk: 316 > 2191 + 316 = 2507 atk
I using team of corin, lycon, soukaku. not sure how to use them i know it's a recommended team. Do i pass atk buff to lycon and he stuns and then swap to corin? i know corin wants to abuse the 185% modifier from lycon and... however not sure best way to get stun and give her the 1k attk.
@@ryanbraybrook2610 What you probably would want to do is get Soukaku at 2 or 3 vortex, stun as Lycaon, chain to Soukaku, then Corin, so she gets the buff, then Lycaon. Then just swap back to Corin. You could even do it slightly differently with Soukaku being at 2 vortex, use fly the flag and pass the smaller atk buff to Lycaon, stun and do the same chain, which will result in Corin getting the stronger buff.
@@jellyface1293that double buff transfer idea is smart as hell actually lmao. what i personally do since i use nekomata is that i specifically set my chain attacks up such that the support is always last so i can quick assist into neko to get her passive up. also, if you already have the frosted banner buff up on a character, and you transfer the buff again, even if its the smaller version, it just refreshes the duration without overwriting the bigger atk buff. so with that in mind, what you can do is: get enemy to almost stun>swap to soukaku and 3ex>fly the flag (this fully stacks bashful demons atk buff) >stun>ca1 neko (this transfers the 1k atk buff to neko)>ca2 stunner>ca3 soukaku>quick assist back to neko since soukakus ca is also fly the flag, doing this will transfer the attack buff again. however, because nekomata still has the 1k buff from prior, this last quick assist will not overwrite the buff with the smaller buff, but will reset its duration, allowing you to have the full duration of the 1k atk buff and bashful demon's atk buff while also enabling nekos 40% dmg buff after quick assist. its great synergy.
10:15 the reason why the 4-piece effect doesn't transfer over is likely due to the way that ATK% buffs/increases work in ZZZ. Unlike in Genshin and Star Rail, there are actually 2 types of ATK%, which is easiest explained as Out of Combat (OC) and In Combat (IC) ATK%. OC ATK% are ATK increases that do not have an activation trigger. This includes any effects that simply read "Increases ATK by X%", or any ATK% from your Disk Drive main/substats or Wengine substats. Alternatively, IC ATK% are ATK increases that *_DO have an activation trigger_* and are turned on/off in combat. This is fairly important to recognise as OC and IC ATK% buffs are actually multiplicative with one another, so the diminishing returns on ATK% may not be as bad as they seem at face value under the right circumstances. Interestingly, this also applies to Impact% and the Daze multiplier. The way I'd assume Soukaku's ATK buff works is that it only considers OC ATK% when calculating her bonus ATK as a part of her skill, and not her Total ATK at the time of its usage. If this is the case, then it would only be beneficial to build her with effects that provide OC ATK% and not IC ATK%.
If that's the case then the Atk% bonus that shokoku herself get when using her skill wouldn't get transfered as well since that will be considered conditional IC atk%, which isn't the case Maybe that set just bugged, or maybe like you said it has something to do with hidden mechanic of the game that we don't know yet
@@abdulzaelani9954 no what I'm saying is that IC ATK% isn't considered when calculating the ATK Bonus from Fly The Flag. My initial use of the word "transfer" is probably what makes it confusing; I just used that word because it's the language EOD uses in the video. The ATK buff from Fly The Flag isn't a type of IC ATK% because it's a Flat ATK increase and not a % increase. If Fly The Flag read "Increases the following agents ATK by X%" then _this_ would be considered IC ATK%. The way Fly The Flag actually works is it's calculating an amount of flat ATK based on Soukaku's stats, then transferring that exact amount onto the agent that quick assists in.
@@koeleeI see, so if that's the case does this mean Lucy buff won't work for soukaku transfer then? So the test would be, Lucy + soukaku + agent C. Lucy buff atk all allies, into soukaku into agent C, and see the different for attack boost that soukaku give on agent C with and without Lucy buff (must be note since Lucy herself give agent C attack buff, we need to extract whatever amount Lucy buff give). I will probably try that tomorrow
@@abdulzaelani9954 just tested it myself just now, and I can confirm that Lucy's Cheer On! ATK buff doesn't increase Soukaku's Fly The Flag buff. For reference, my Soukaku provides 143 ATK with Fly The Flag, and my Lucy provides 98 ATK with Cheer On!. In both instances where Soukaku uses Fly The Flag with and without Cheer On!, she only provides the initial 143 ATK (241 ATK total from Fly The Flag + Cheer On!) More testing is probably needed, especially since there's not a lot of info on OC and IC ATK% right now (in fact, I don't think the community even has a proper name for them), but with this, it's fairly safe to assume that Soukaku's Fly The Flag doesn't consider any IC ATK% increases in its calculation.
In terms of optimal damage combo for her, I noticed that if you go Special>Basic , she immediately goes into hit 3 of Basic chain with the super high multiplier (600+). Get in to Frosted Banner then rotate special>basic and you’re doing a lot of personal damage.
I've been investing on Soukaku after noticing how strong Lucy can be. Believe it or not, she and Lycaon duo can take down the Ch.3 final boss in just 2 minutes or less. She's capable of being the main carry, because her switch assist and ultimate are really strong. Her M6 simply allows her to deal a lot of damage in the damage window afterwards. I'm looking to build Anby and Nicole next to prep for Zhu Yuan's release. Can't wait to get her. :)
kinda off topic but considering that alot of people rn always say to use ult on dps since it deals massive damage to the enemy (which is the most logical way to use your ult) seeing how soukaku can kinda be a battery to your team and not just deal damage with her ult wouldn't it be better if they split the ult usage into 1k decibels each? and put a cooldown on it (since reaching 1k is easy enough if you can break shields and proc disorder) to prevent ult spamming at least so that the ultimate kit on characters other than dps unit can be usable
@@fanbotbob64 yeah i mean maybe they have some chars, modes or something later on to utilize it but as of rn it's pretty unreasonable for putting extra buffs in some non dps chars ults and never to be able to use them in rotations because of how the combat mechanic is designed
4:30 you do know that their is a ridiculously easier method to get her stacks and it’s just tapping the skill. And depending on your enrgy levels not only can you use it repeatedly going from zero to max stacks fairly quickly but then you can transition into her vortex>fly the flag stage in the same action.
I came here looking for this, very surprised this isn’t mentioned in the video. Tap tap tap hold and you’re done. Also, the tap E has ranged attack component. I have frozen enemies with it so many times.
My most comfortable team to play is Corrin Lycoan and Soukkaku since they can all parry. So even if I mess up the rotation I can still parry attacks with all three.
I have tested it physically and found swing Jazz to be better in all situations where soukaku is played as a support. The 15 dmg buff is really big and overvalues the anomaly proficiency.
What's the proper rotation for Ellen, Lycaon, Soukaku? Who should do the chain and chain break/freeze? Does her chain spin trigger attack buff for the next chain character?
Try this - Lycaon break and start chain: Ellen next Soukaku assist Ellen if assist works from Soukaku (btw Ellen must be to the right of Soukaku in order to be the one who will recieve assist in character selection). It should be better than Lycaon break and start chain: Soukaku, Ellen.
This is my rotation: Lycaon to build Daze and use his EX skill to get the 25% ice debuff > Use chain assist and trigger Fly the Flag and transfer it to Ellen >Go all DPS with Ellen until Fly the flags buff is done.

ITs hard for me to switch from Ellen's fast play style into Soukaku's slow weapon. I am pretty much playing Ellen solo until it's time to chain attack.

So if I only interested using Soukaku for support, I don't really need to pay attention to Vortex build up, right? Vortex is only useful if you want to use Soukaku as the on-field damage dealer.

I have her m6p5 now but, idk she feels so clunky to me. I'm trying to figure her out but, mainly its her ex, like sometimes i hit it and she spins, sometime she does this slap and im not sure what the trigger is for that. I get how she works but this is making no sense to me.
Tap does the swipe with projectile, is good for building her vortex, and can combo into more taps, or the held input, which is the slimming the banner into the ground with the ice whirlwind
Hi all im having a hard time with my team comp. I don't have lycaon so I use Anby and whenever she procs stun or Soukaku even if I have the right order(stun-support-Ellen) for my team it's either Anby calls Soukaku for the quick assist or vice versa. It almost never prompts Ellen to be the one next. Idk why. But when I manually proc Soukaku's flag plant it always calls Ellen. But yeah. Never when stun is procced for either Anby or Soukaku. EDIT: So I tinkered around with my team placement. If I stun targets the order goes reverse. But if I manually plant soukaku's flag it always goes to the right.
to my understanding, quick assist will always go for the next slot, cant go to previous slot like chain attack. Idk why your setup is not working. I setup Ellen Anby Soukaku (in that order). On a regular enemy, Anby stuns and starts the chain, I choose Soukaku, do the flag, I only get Ellen as my quick assist option no matter what (I think one time I accidentally click on LB/prev char and it still summoned Ellen instead tho not confirmed). Could you be miscounting maybe? On elites we get 2 chains so I start the chain from ellen into anby into soukaku, and I'll get ellen as quick assist. On bosses we get 3 so start from Soukaku
