Getting slicy on the White Salmon in the 303. The first time I paddled this boat I didn't like it at all. So in the garage it sat for a couple months. I decided to try it again and let the boat lead this time, and what a blast it was.
It is actually my first functioning prototype made in my woodshop. I have a furniture business so I have access to some good machinery. It is a cedar and purpleheart shaft, balsa wood core blades covered in Carbon fiber. Designed after my beloved saltwood. i used the saltwood for 2 years and repaired it several times. I could not find another paddle that felt even close to as good as it so I decided to make one. Specs are 200cm, r30 and 36 oz
I like it but don't paddle it a lot. Super fast, slicey and carves a wave like nothing else. Plastic is very good quality but outfitting not so much. I bought the cheap outfitting one and did the rest myself. I feel like that is the way to go.
