January 14th and 15th were special days for me. January 14th was the day I got my Touhou games, but I couldn't install them (let alone announce I had gotten them) until the 15th due to improvised-theater-related shenanigans. And when I loaded up Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, installed the English patch, and picked Lunatic difficulty with Reimu A just for the hell of it, I was greeted with what I can consider the shooter game equivalent to the Super Mario Bros. World 1-1 theme (or the SNES Super Mario World theme if you want to take into account "Eternal Shrine Maiden"): "Soul As Red As A Ground Cherry", opening your adventure to the Scarlet Devil Mansion through Gensokyo's dark, fairy-filled, youkai-filled forests.

The game version: • EoSD Stage 1 Theme - A...
Also, be sure to check out fellow Touhou music maestro EP's Logic-based cover of "Soul As Red As A Ground Cherry" at tindeck.com/listen/lgts and let us know what you think.
