Yeah Algol has some moves that utilize those blades that come out his back, they are meant to impale and surprise enemies coming from behind, also he can knock enemies into the air and impale them that way on the trip down, also utilizing the spikes coming from his front.
Algol... he is simply... Powerful... HE created both soul edge and soul calibur I heard... If so, he has got to be the strongest guy... ever!(In Soul Calibur series)
they play completely different, and soul edge and soul calibur are built into Algol, he created them, while necrid's chaotic little etheral ball changes shape into weapons,
One thing about fighting agaist the apprentice is he likes to circle around the back of you and do the hard-hitting back throw. I noticed this in arcade mode. I lost to him only one round before I noticed this little trick. (It was on easy because I just wanted to unlock him. He was still tough though.) But then I went in to trainng and versus modes with Algol and wailed on his ass for a little payback lol.
first Inferno doesen't even let you move second he copies all the other characters moves wich is defenetly old for a boss and third it has unique moves that make the game really hard to beat.
My beef with sword fighting games is that both swords never come in contact with each other doesnt make for actual sword fighting at all Its basically hack and slash lol
Its hard to get the hang of playing Algol, anybody that plays a lot of fighting games might know what i mean when i say, Algol feels slow but still fast his movement isn't to quick but his attacks are short and powerful... so basically what im trying to say is... once you master Algol you become like a god, he is a bit overpowered in ways...
Just keep your distance and try not to attack before he does. Try to get him when he comes toward you. You might think this advice sounds stupid, but it helped a little in my case. Look I know how you feel. I lost to him like 8 times, but finally managed to come though. Just practice and keep trying man.
Everyone asks why the lightsabers in this game don't cut anything. The answer is simple. Yoda, the Apprentice, and Darth Vader lost their lightsabers and they got new ones on loan from Xemnas, which we all know that Xemnas sabers can't cut anything.
The creator of the game specifically said he wanted to keep the Star Wars characters unique. Otherwise, you might just end up callin' Soul Calibur IV another Star Wars game
@l0rdm3ph1st0 It's actually a lightsaber fighting style. I really could go complete star wars nerd on you... but that would be kinda stupid considering the context. All I'll say is that it's pretty legit for the star wars universe... but in comparison to the fighters in Soul Calibur, you're right, it does look kind of stupid.
How is it copyright infringement? They were allowed to use the characters. Otherwise, that game wouldnt have come out and Namco and everyone involved with the game wouldve gotten sued for everything they have.
