Yeah, and then look at Tekken 7, epic cut scenes, incredible unique fights, Namco only make any effort when it's a franchise making them the most money. Soul Calibur is an a lot more epic game than the Tekken series in terms of story imo, not to mention much more aesthetic, it deserves the same heart put into it, and if they want it to be a more popular franchise that won't happen unless they put the effort in.

This series pretty much got shit canned after 5, they weren't planning on making a 6th because of how poorly the 5th sold, but the creator of the series begged Bandai Namco to let him make another, so they gave him a shoestring budget and a handful of people to make it, it was initially a huge success far surpassing what they initially thought it would make, but then covid hit, they got rid of the series creator and haven't done a thing with this game since 2020, this is probably the last soul calibur/soul edge game we're ever gonna get

Seeing as this game retells the events of the first Soul Calibur, I'd say yes.
