Please tell me I'm not the only one who's put an ungodly amount of time into Weapon Master. It's so much better then other fighting games campaigns at the time.
Nope, you're not. In fact, I probably spent more time on Weapon Master Mode, than I did Survival and Arcade Mode. I absolutely loved unlocking extra weapons.
...for a fighting game, this adventure mode ROCKED. Maybe it just came at the right time, of ripe imagination and wonder, and the ability to delve fully into a world born of the mind with the right stimuli. Put another way, omfg the hours spent on adventure mode.
I loved Weapon Master Mode, Man was it a good time to have a Gamecube those days, as Link was the guest character on that version of SC2. It only made sense a bit, as he is a traveler of sorts. Him traveling the entire world on the adventure that takes place in another world literally.
leon4000 Link fit into SC more than Heihachi or Spawn. It's unfortunate he will never be available to any version outside of GC unless the Switch/Wii U eshop add SC2 HD. Speaking of which, so many reboots/remasters have been going on recently. It's about time SC gets a reboot it's the production quality of the new Tekken and Injustice 2. It would give Namco a good opportunity to utilize these audio gems again.
My absolute 100 guaranteed thought on this at the time the game came out, my imagination use to run wild. I remember acting out as the characters within weapon master mode walking around and interacting with each other (since they couldn't talk) My main was Siegfried ❤️
Weapon master mode theme amazing didn't unlock everyone but enjoyed this mode for the most part miss the days where you took a game home and you could unlock everything yourself by playing❤❤
I played this so much as a kid. Taking my ps2 to my next door neighbours house and playing together. I eventually said it was my most prized save data on my memory card and I also said if anyone deleted it, I'd kill them. Idk why. I guess I tried to intimidate.
Man, the memories this piece brings. The countless hours I had this one going along with the rest of the weapon master mode is something that is during a great time of gaming. I remember a lot of what was going on in my life whenever I hear this music
This piece imbues nostalgia so hard. The triumphant melody of this theme is so amazing, there isn't a single day the tune doesn't longer in the back of my head. It's so good.
I would keep buying a new nintendo gamecube everytime it would stop working just so I could play soul calibur and also bought the game twice because it got scratched and is the only game I've done that for..like the new games but nothing beats going trough arcade mode with every char and going in weapon master to get every single weapon and costume.. and even though I had already beat it completely still had to keep going in that one stage you fight same char you chose just to make more money to be able to buy everything...I'll take that over playing others online any day.
