I think he wants to show how they look when mimic characters (Kilik and Edge Master) use them too. PS: Elysium is a mimic characer, but she has an unique Critical Edge.
If you're using your analog stick, in my opinion, it's more difficult, but on the D-Pad, swerve in your enemies direction, then press down and I believe either RB or RT quickly.
Nightmare's critical edge is only strong if it is not guard impact. If the opponent attacks and the critical edge guard impacts it, then it would cause less damage. Also there is a big disadvantage on that attack. Your opponent can just do an 8-way run and do an unblockable attack before Nightmare performs it since it is slow.

@CountofBleck XD It is funny. But Dampire's on both Kilik and Edge Master is funny. But Raphael's Critical is nice on Kilik but looks weird on Edge Master.

Edge Master: uses all styles Kilik: uses all male styles (include Nightmare, Astaroth, Yoshimitsu, Voldo and Lizardman) Elysium: uses all female styles (but weapons are always in Soul Calibur form; and also has her own Critical Edge)

I don't like it, but yes... Except Kilik only uses male movesets. Edge Master uses every moveset (Except for Ezio and Devil Jin). Eslynium (I can't remember her name) uses all female movesets.
So how come Edge Master can use everyone's fighting styles, but Elysium can only use female fighting styles? And does anyone else find it weird when Kilik says he's "reached enlightenment" while wielding SOUL EDGE?! Wtf Kilik suddenly it's okay to use the sword that made you kill Xianglian?
Yurihyuga766 I said it while i was fighting against him on Arcade, and probably on Quick Match. Astaroth is the Solomon Grundy of Soul Calibur. Relies only in the grabs to get damage. I mean, on Tekken i use the King´s, but i don´t rely on the grabs ALL the time (just a last resource, make sure to Tag safely and combo finisher)
weakest??? what do u mean by weakest???? His critical edge can't be blocked!! It's a grab xD AND makes the oponent spin on the ground for a sec, giving u enough time to do a up-up-B(triangle) to take out a HUGE amount of health... JESUS CRIST his critical edge is strong as fuck!
Yea. In order to avoid it, you need to know when he will do it and you have to crouch early to be able to crouch and avoid it. I crouch most of the time against him because he throws a lot
These are really lame compared to the new ones in SoulCalibur 6. These just feel like powered up special moves and were a huge downgrade from Critical Finishes from 4. This game was still really fun to play reagardless. I put so many hours into it.
@@astra8186 It's been years since I played this, but...full power bar, then: full rotation twice with the controller, then ABK (all three non-block buttons). On a controller there's probably a default ABK binding, but if not you can just set it; on stick it's easier to just hit three buttons but you can set an ABK button up and bind it to a spare button if you want.
