Honestly that is the only thing that this skin lacks to make her a true ultimate skin, she really needs leveled up forms, her ult evolve doesn't really look like it changes form, kinda lackluster compared to winterblessed diana ult forms.
even Katarina's legendary changes daggers with kills; Samira is all about kills, too, and with the soul thing, they could just give her like 3-4 "soul transformations" to go along with getting kills, instead they gave her some repeated pentakill animation and called it an ultimate skin 💀

This skin is so mid; Def not an ultimate; Legendary at best. FIX HER IDEAS - If she would change VFX colors and outfit after getting a kill that would be much cooler. **Even more cool if she could have different colors depending on what weapon she killed someone with; for example if she kills with the sword, it could cycles to a different color, if she kills with a gun, her gun would cycle to a different color and she would have a mismatch of colors on her weapons which would affect individual skill VFX. She could have 5 colors and change through a teamfight as she gets a penta-kill with a flurry of colors.

@@bloodandcheesenah, this is really a legendary level skin. Like, map change, new emotes, Ult animation evolving, numbers change, good effects. Yeah, it's kinda sad that her animations don't really change but so does project pyke, yet still he was accepted as a legendary

They should do that but in the style of old fighter arcade games and make it samira(in the skins artstyle) vs an image of the character she last hit in the art style

nah they know and admitted that the previous ultimates like lux were too much for the game to handle if more than one player had them in the same game. So they admited they wont do anything that big because of their spaghetti code. Just look at seraphine's, it was a three legendary bundle because she didnt change or evolve from one form to another in game. The one you chose was the one you played all the game, which translated in playing with a legendary each time. Im surprised tho they had the nerve to call this one ultimate. If they cant make them like they used to anymore, they shouldnt make any more ultimate skins and create the legendary+ tier they were planning but for some reason scrapped. Samira would fit that tier better
i dont understand it lux has like 10 diffrent forms and its 100 years old even legendary kat skin can change weapons why doesnt she would be epic to have white yellow orange red purple blue green black weapons with particles
@@xNFR they say it's because the game's coding can't handle having so many ultimate skins when in game, which is why with seraphine's ultimate skin, you can only choose one before the game. Lux's ultimate takes like 10 models to load in and if there's any more than an x amount of models in game, it'll crash.
In classic Riot fashion, they proceeded to ignore every ounce of feedback given on this skin and just release it the exact same way it was first revealed (Yes I know they added some very minor stuff but that stuff is so minimal and still doesn't justify the price it is asking for).
Remember on the start of the season they said they were gonna listen more to what players wanted and be more communicative? well, ends up it was just damage control for the disaster that was season start and they didn't change a bit.

The fact that almost everyone agrees that the skins is good but is not worth the price and Riot still keept saying this is a Ultimate. If they ONLY LOWERED THE GOD DAMN PRICE!
@@LironSulimaninot really, they put the excuse of "the champ is still a recent release so their animations are ok". Look at project pyke or high noon senna. Both of em share basic animations with their basic counterparts. There are certain changes (like pykes hook teleporting to his other hand on attack) but they are minimal

It would be really nice if when Samira got a Penta kill, there was a special announcer that screams PENTA KILL!!!! It could even be the announcer from the Soul Fighters Trailer.
ye I was thinking the same, just give her a unique annoucer for Arena, SR and Aram, give her something fresh that none of the ultimates has to at least make it work the price, not ADD MORE EFFECTS
If she had the soul fighter anouncer narating her I think it would feel like an ultimate. "samira gets another the first kill of the game! No surpeises there" when she gets her first kill "she's resting, so now, a word from our sponsors" when going to base. Those things would enhance the fantasy of being a fighter in a arena being viewed by a lot of people.

@@benxchow yeah, but she has 6 different VFXs for her daggers that can be toggled on demand during the progression of the game. That itself already feels like an Ultimate Skin (during its time) that got downgraded to Legendary. Meanwhile Samira's skin is just a mashup of features of the higher tier Legendaries that should have been called Legendary+.
Imagine we could controll her dance with our arrow keys, start the dance with crtl 3, then press the arrow keys and she uses these animations according to the keys we use Would be one step closer to an ultimate skin, than what we got currently
Im honestly suprised they havent seen this opportunity on this skin, since she has two sentient guns one red one blue, make her like kayn, where she feeds her gun based on melee or ranged, and then she evolves into a red dominant samira or a ble dominant samira
they probably didnt take that approach because then that would force players to play in different styles, like if they wanted either melee or ranged form they would be forced to play that way just to enjoy 1 part of the skin, when they bought the skin to be able to enjoy all of it (still it would have been better than this shit they gave us). I'd say it would be better that yes, you feed those forms, BUT, after you gain both forms you can just switch them each time you die for example (so it can be at least a liiiittle bit different from mf's skin)
Battle Queen Kat is 100% a scrapped ultimate. All her daggers fit her different chromas and her chromas change her appearance quite a lot. This skin is wasted potential.

Aside from the very expected in-game model changes, people have so many other great ideas to turn this into an actual ultimate skin. My favorite two are: - the soul fighter announcer being available just for her, or maybe for the whole 10 players as an option while she's in the map (mix of my ideas with those of other commenters) - being able to start her dancing animation with ctrl+3 and then being able to control the dance with our arrow keys (commented by artlover5018) -Edit to add this bc I read another cool comment: a special soul fighter themed HUD just for her (because if aphelios can have his own HUD, why can't Samira?) Why can't a billionaire company come up with ideas that won't suck compared to those of random people in a comment section? Also don't dislike the video, this channel is only showcasing the skin, the person who posted this video can't really do anything with your feedback.

I mean, pfez doesnt have nearly the amount of particles and effect changes, not to mention pentakill animations. I dont think its fair to say that an ultimate skin needs to have different animations and an "evolving" design. Really, im sure the delineating factor is simply cost of development and/or production value. The factors you bring up should be more based upon thematics rather than considered as a standard.

Absolutely amazing skin,as a avid Samira enjoyer i cant even put into words just how much i love this skin,like this is def better than any Legendary skin in the game…but it’s not a Ultimate skin.

The frustrating part of this is most of us here agree that the skin isn’t up to par with current Ultimate skins, but people will still buy this anyway and Riot will learn they can get away with it. It’s a beautiful skin, I don’t wan’t to hate on the artists, but it’s just not what an Ultimate should be. This is one I hope to get in a Hextech chest.

the funny this is if they marketed this as a legendary, riot would have prob seen a greater return on resources invested in creating the skin cause literally every1 would buy it
they could also just make it so you can switch between like 4 or 5 chromas in-game that change alone would put it on the same level as gun goddess mf and thus make it an ultimate skin in the eyes of most people
-Doesn't have any kind of transformation mechanic. -Doesn't change all of the champion animations. -10 minutes of voicelines and most are generic. -All of it's unique features already exist on legendary skins. Sure, an ultimate skin that deserves the full price.
They should have added transformation on each kill or at least have an option to change weapons or change appearance if shes on different arenas. But the effects are good. I just dont feel that it is an ultimate skin
The skin is very good but people are too used for ultimate skins to have variations since that's what most do. Since she's a direct rip from dante/vergil, I would visualize her ultimate skin to have more weapons or atleast change every ability to use different weapons rather than the actual two she has. Maybe throwing a few chromas for the he price could work too. Edit: Riot also forgot alt+5 exists, like kaisa and rengar between some other character use this special interaction, so I could see maybe some stance change using this key could add some spice to the skin too.
Because that's literally the only thing differentiating ultimates from any other skin, especially now when Legendary skins are so high quality. Even Spirit Guard Udyr doesn't feel like an ultimate anymore since the rest of his skins also change forms post rework. I agree that they should have done something with the Dante inspiration though. Maybe make her S rank or ult transform her temporarily like a devil trigger or something. This skinline is fighting game themed too so a dragon install ala Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear would've fit so damn well too.
To be fair, riot did have this entire blog dedicated to skins an entire section of it dedicated to ultimate skins, saying stuff like, “ push limits and boundaries with these skins” and this was the best they could do. It’s hard to compete with the hood standard of ultimate skins being Elementalist lux but this isn’t even spirit guard udyr or GG MF level of ultimate. I would have loved to see the Dante/Vergil stuff more visualized in this skin more, literally anything. Heck I’d put it on ultimate tier if they made a little mini game for her dance where you could actually input controls and she would change her dance with the combos.

Ok so when I first heard about this skin and saw the splash art. I thought that Samira would have 3 forms Base one (Purple ig) and Blue and Red forms corresponding for each of her guns. One of the forms choosen after lvl 6 or after using our ult the first time or smth. (Since she has kill effects I choose lvl up method rather than kill cuz this would be too much on the screen for a from change). Her switch could work similar to Kayns picking Assasin or Darkin. The guns would link with her soul. The Blue Samira could be more of a fight fair and square and has respect for her enemies while Red Samira is more of a fight for death (She just wants to see more blood, the more to fight the better). Ik this would change her personality but its supossed to an ultimate so why not? But we got.... A really nice Samira Legendary. Idk if riot is too scared to experiment or they just gave up on ultimate skins. But either way this is dissapointing.
Did anyone else notice that during the crit animation section near the end of the video that her shadow disappears whenever she auto attacks? Is that a PBE thing or...
My idea for this Ultimate skin: 3 takedowns:She will be upgraded 5 Takedowns:she will change colour 10 Takedowns:She is fullt Evolced:She wear kind of armor,upgraded weapons and effects Her full Evolution: Wearing some armor,Has a Mysterious wings,her weapons are way too dangerous
I don't get why people hate this skin. At least, it has better VFX and SFX than most ultimate skins. Imo this skin surpasses the ultimates of Udyr, Ezreal, Seraphine and MF.
Imo all this skin needs to be an ultimate is a color palette selector in game that lets u change ur appearance a bit. Def worth more than a legendary skin but im not sure its at ultimate price value yet
Giving interaction because Skin Spotlights deserves it but DAMN Riot really dropped the ball on this one and they know it. Sucks that people will just buy it anyway and we'll get lazy, low quality Ultimates from now on.
really good skin, i still want to buy it but when i remember its "ultimate" skin im changing my mind, i had the rp for her when they announced "samira will get ultimate skin" but now i will use the rp for elementalist lux, sad riot didnt listen community and make skin better than this for ultimate tier
I'm not going to say it's not a ultimate skin. As this skin has the best effects in the game. In terms of a new ultimate skin, sure it might feel off, but it still has God tier effects. Sure it doesn't feel like it as the only real effect that is changed is her ultimate and her emotes, but otherwise, it's still a great skin.
People crying over this skin being ultimate as if any of the other ultimate skins have features that definitely warrant a $30 asking price (minus elementalist lux). Like the skin looks good, you can either buy it or don't but its not going anywhere and it is what it is
for an ultimate skin, i just feel like the ability icons & the hud should be custom. adding even more VFX is just a headache tbh. there are wayyy more things you can do to make this skin feel unique/worth it without adding a bunch of noise.
