Damn... I love this live version... it's a lil jazzy and has a slight rock undertone... so great. And real women power on the stage there. Wow... and now that I heard that version through I must say it's more than a lil jazzy... it's some sort of jazz-pop fusion. Love it...
Caron Wheeler: I love you! I saw you once in public and I should have told you then how awesome you are, but I didn't want to scare you. Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice . I tried to train my voice for tweenty some years to just to try and touch your Back 2 Life [Accapella] song, anyways, you got me through the hardest years of my life. Thank you.
I remember a time dj'ing when I would take the crowds down some dark paths musically and I'd just STOP the 1200 at the end of a 16 bar count. Caron's vocals would stand alone and the response was just phenominal! The room would absolutely light up. I often thought to myself, so I wonder if this is what it's going to be like. Those were the days when there was still a healthy balance of both light and dark. Sadly, the light lost its impact in pop culture over the next few decades. Bring back the light I say. It will resolve a lot of the mental health issues we have now.
