Now that I'm older and have a more analytic perspective, I can't obviate the mesmerizing creativity of the lok team. Tbh, and I'm not being hard on my self, i would have never came up with such a master piece. the music, the models, the textures, the animations, the voice acting, the color palette, etc. It is just too much! this series of lost content are like an emotional journey that will put and end to a part of my life (well, at least kinda because I'm still waiting to see the soul revenant game)
All in that location had me amaze when i wss a kid!!!and now as well. The music is so great!!!! Those scenarios made me wanna explore beyonde them. As usual, great work you guys!!
godammit never thought about returning to the boat with swim Powers actually never Went into the water itself there i Think. also that low Little croak is adorable from rahabims
Its annoying that the boat doesn't have any motion in the retail version, that would have been a nice dynamic. Still can't get over how beautiful the water forge is!
RainaAudron Before reading this, just know I had no idea I was going to type paragraphs for this, so I don’t blame anyone for not reading this all the way, but if you do, that would be so appreciated. It never made sense that a fire forge was in the drowned abbey, a water-based level, but I always kinda just accepted it lol. The water forge is indeed very beautiful and mystical. I wonder if the elemental reaver doors from SR2 and Defiance were meant to be used at some point for all the reavers. I really wonder just how long this game was meant to be on its own. We got the trilogy, but imagine all of that in one game if that’s how they originally intended it to be played. For me, that would’ve been so much better than how the retail release just kind of ends after playing for maybe a week or two, and then just start over. I always felt like the game was meant to be all there, that there were very important elements and levels that were meant to exist to advance the adventure and story, but in the end, were never fully realized in the final release ergo the incomplete areas. Thank you, and Ben Lincoln for showing us what might’ve been were it not for tight time limits for PS1 games in the mid-90’s. You both have satisfied those lingering thoughts in my mind since I was about 5 years old. All I have left to wonder about are what all those symbols and motifs in the various areas of SR1 mean such as on the walls of the chapel in this video, but also the symbols on the walls of some of the elemental glyph puzzles (namely fire glyph area with the pillars the rise in a staggered circle in spectral; there’s an image of what looks like some unknown humanoid vampire or monster on the wall where you can light a torch) and also on some of the doors in the game (like the newly revealed alpha smokestack aurorie dial door (not sure I spelled aurorie right.) Those things have always made me wonder if this game was subtly telling us something or had a message, or if these are religious symbols, images and iconography with inherent meaning and how it relates to the main story of the game, it would be really great to know!
I would like to see the alpha builds content added to the main game as well, hopefully one day the modding community will do so but until then if you do wanna mess around with these head over to hidden palace and go try out the January-february builds
@@RainaAudron your right, after seeing all the alpha I been waiting for soul reaver to appear on ps4 pre order, I would pre order on highest Version. I would 😁
