Third time watching this and I just realized the big plot twist they wanted to establish after “Saul”: Asher’s unborn child would probably still be “alive” inside the body of someone else (or another Vampire), which would serve to be either a Sequel Hook OR a giant emotional gut punch for Asher/Gein once they activate that Anti-Vampire Weapon at the end. Either that or it’ll be revealed that the Elder God has his child’s soul captive and wants to leverage that for Asher/Gein’s assistance “in the future”
good news @#$ finaly excuse my frensh,i been with legacy of kain from the start,i played blood omen on playstation 1 when it was just out a year or so i was about 16 back then i think. and yes i turned 40 this year ^^ i went them to eventualy finish the story,kain standing at the vampire citidal with a freshaly made soulreave shouldnt be the end,kain stil needs to bring back balance to nosgoth. and am not taking no for an answer dammit! :)

i would give so much to have the legacy of kain remastered in a quality like the last god of war. i have some feelings that the full franchise has the potential to be something between god of war en elden ring
nosgoth got canceled cause they devs got greedy, not only did they want us paying for the beta, which beta is meant to pay the testers, but they charged for every lil thing AND made it pay to win, deadbread had the same problem, pay to win games tend to fail. not all but a great many do... same with my beloved galactic junk league, loved it but knew it would flounder
Love for one more game with kain hunting the elder god through time and back before the ancients and becoming the origin of the prophesied saviour before going forward to lead the world anew, hylden banished forever due to kain becoming the immortal lock and key, restoring nosgoth and vampires cured of bloodlust to become leaders once again in the eternal golden age
Vorador did say that creating vampires was a long process that takes alot of energy so it was probably not straight forward. I get the impression only fully evolved vampires could make vampires but not sure if was the case with Kain.
@@RecreationalValue-gk8jt Kain had tried to make Vampires the traditional way, by turning the living. It didn't work, because he was truly undead, whereas the other Vampires were living beings that were cursed. Since Kain was made after he was a corpse, that was the only way he could create new Vampires, and that took him a long time to figure out. I think it was stated that he raised the Sarafan 1000 years after Blood Omen. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that's how long it was.
As you generally seem to do, you've done fantastic work on this vid. While I don't bemoan the fall of the Nosgoth game, I also didn't dig into it before it was cancelled. That there was so much love poured into the lore and locations are things I never really noticed, and have come away with a bit more of an appreciation for it. Now...I wasn't planning on commenting - I often don't on most things I watch - but after having gone though the book I felt like I had to. That's a wonderful addition, and I wanted to say thank you for releasing it and including it. The time spent going through it was thoroughly enjoyable, and you deserve the recognition for having put it together. Well done, indeed.

Rahab always struck me as the most interesting of the Kain's lieutenants...or however you spell that word...outside of Raziel himself. The way Rahab spoke in game despite being antagonistic there seemed to be a level of respect for both Raziel and Kain. I kind of wish we saw more of them outside of the boss fights. No idea how they'd have done it, but just to get more of an idea of who they were and what they were like before they devolved.
I always assumed Ariel was pulled from the Soul Reaver era at the end of Defiance. I didn't have a reason to think that, I just assumed that's where she came from.
*Happy 25th Anniversary LoK!!* This series is my all-time favourite video game series, so seeing and hearing a lot of recent content and news for LoK as of recently brings hope for the game series and its awesome community, we can only hope good will come for these gems of these games.😊 Another brilliant video Raina, pls keep up with the amazing work, sorry for the long comment, thanks you, you are awesome👍(Edit-typo)
These 2 are like our four armed demon of online content. I hope they like fish. I like fish. Some people have fish allergies though. Why vampires all the time is a question for us all. Do I even really like vampires? no. They're just what you have to put up with to get to the good stuff, like massive talking squid. Oh yeah.
It's criminal how this saga has been left to rot. It's great to see folks who've spent time and effort trying to keep the saga going through mods. Games like LOK where created by great humans. Loads of outstanding men and some very intelligent women who knew their craft. Amy Hennig goes down in history for me. She was so passionate about this saga. I remember listening to her interviews. She had help but she also had a good understanding of the narrative and theme All of the qualities of the LOK saga and this particular game are very hard to find these days. Almost impossible. I've recently got back into the saga. This is great to know people like you are putting in the work to keep it going 😁👍
