In the bata, I was Voldo and was beat by a spamming Maxi won by ring outs. We had a rematch, the first battle I won and the second battle was a perfect. While Maxi laid their I started humping the air and next thing I knew the game frooze a text appeared on the screen. "The connection has been lost."
Nice, cool gameplay. I like mi-na, she has her own flair and many moves that are personally her's that kilik doesn't have. She also uses a lot more kicks than Kilik, some of her strings are all kicks. Her style is a lot more "wild" than Kilik's as well, she seems a bit less disciplined with her spear than kilik is with his bo. Kilik is a bit more compact, simple and straightforward whereas mi-na is a bit more risky, wild and unpredictable.
Whats really fascinating is that they took a page out of Bloody Roar. Not only does going into a kind of rave mode change how the characters play and act, but it also stops the round timer.
Mi-na is the prettiest character. Great costume. Yall know if there will be some frame data released before launch? Or will we need to lab the frames post-launch, like savages? :P
After you've seen it two or three times you can react every time you see fire on Cervantes, it is really easy to avoid, specially if you are far away, unless you are doing an attack or something from afar that can make you vulnerable. You can easily react to almost all fire attacks in this game to punish them or evade them, there are just a handful of useful fire attacks and besides one Sophitia fire attack (the most useful I've seen), all others are rarely seen.
I say it because I've been playing soul calibur for years and Cervantes is one of my characters, I never used the move and the few times I used it my friends always reacted to it, just really few times I was able to hit them with that.
... yeah, i'm a big Flame Fan with Sophie. It's really a lot of fun faking them out or actually executing it. I mix her break attacks in quite alot with her unblockables. The key is to overwhelm the enemy with accurately-read attacks so often that you've forced them to focus solely on defense and that is when you launch your unblockable. Worked a lot for me back then and even now in the past Beta. Good old mind games. ... but tell me this. What do you think of his parry into the Unblockable gun shot...? ... I saw that at 16:20 and it was terrifying. This is the first time i've seen a GI that goes straight into an unblockable. Guess you kinda earned it if you pulled it off. Damage was pretty fair as well.
Any decent player would only use it rarely since it's rock paper scissors on whether you will win the clash or not and these matches were pretty close so potentially losing a clash could mean a loss so that's probably why they never used it
It becomes unblockable if it's been charged all the way. It won't deal any damage but still trigger the rock paper scissor event. Also each time you block an attack while charging it still gives you a lot of meter.
... man... i've been wondering that myself. People do it a LOT with her so i'm assuming it's pretty damn easy. ... and I love how it has a Guard Break on it when she Soul Charges.
Do you and the people you're playing with have an agreement not to use Reversal Edge or do you just not know it exists? Because you never once utilized this tool.
Absence You haven't seen games like Horizon or Uncharted 4 I take it. This is not console limitations, I assure you. Developer limitations if anything. The PC version doesn't fair much better, SCVI isn't exactly graphically impressive.
I wouldn't necessarily say that. She does have some of Kilik's moves, but she definitely has her own flair and many moves that are personally her's that kilik doesn't have. She also uses a lot more kicks than Kilik, some of her strings are all kicks.
