This is probably the radio-edited version. It was edited to shorten the song’s length, because the full version is probably about 8 minutes. Y’all should hear that version.

Agreed! Their “B” Sides were better than most group’s “A” Sides! And Fogerty’s Voice is instantly recognizable and anything he does! If they want to catch something, try “I Put a Spell on You “ Lightning Hopkins wrote the damn song and after He heard their version. He said it was theirs from now on!

Nice reaction guys. CCR is nothing short of a legendary band, with tons of hits produced in a very short time span of 6 years or so. John Fogarty, the main songwriter, vocalist and lead guitarist (actually a multi-instrumentalist) has had a legendary solo career as well, still recording and touring to this day. Check out their/his catalogue….you’ll be glad you did.

Their music was more like Cajun music then southern rock, people sometimes thought that they were from the Bayou, when they were from Southern California. They captured the sound perfectly.

CCR was called "swamp rock" (see their album "Born on the Bayou"), & more bluesy than other so-called Southern rock groups. But, they're from California, & said the word "heard" like "hoid", very Brooklyn-ite. Go figure.

@@BruceandCarla anytime! I just found your channel today and checked out your songs. I'm a rocker but I do love the old school stuff like Teddy P. Al Green, The ojays ,etc. Plus the old disco tunes. Shalimar brought me right back to rollerskating rinks in the late 70s. I like the mix you got going. If it's 60s ,70s and early 80s I'm all in!
@BruceandCarla

Hey, I'm really glad you found the channel and gave the songs a spin! Your taste in music is solid - nothing beats the classics like Teddy P., Al Green, and The O'Jays. And those disco tunes, especially Shalamar, bring back some serious roller-skating rink nostalgia from the late '70s. I'm stoked you're into the mix of 60s, 70s, and early 80s jams. Let's keep the good vibes rolling together! 🎸🕺🎶
