I could sit in a room and watch this creative flow for hours and never lose interest. I just started learning guitar about a year ago and in doing so I have gained a deep passion and understanding of those who are well versed in playing. I could never play an instrument when I was younger but have always been talented musically when it came to pitch and harmonies. Just never had a means to translate it outside of singing. So hearing you vocalize it and then translate it is mesmerizing.

Apologies if this recommendation offends you, since I don't know your skill level - but Trevor Wong is really great at breaking down genres similar to Covet/Yvette's style (tappy and all of the slides in the world, ambient, mathy) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HX1Y1w6lH6M.html / ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2DhYzEcjz-o.html - I think he's a really good start for getting the feel and some quick riffs to learn and play around with to start building your own things.

I'm happy if I can come with a B and you're going up to Es? You have such a creative mind. Your tone is so good and you really use a tube amp to its full effect with your dynamics and that delay is used with such a nice subtlety. Great playing, and thank you for sharing your process with us.

Enjoy your music! I have trouble with this----too many riffs, too few songs. If I start a song with a title or lyric idea, I tend to finish it. But riffs??? So many! Where to put them all? Discipline is the key.

wow so much of the process is intuitive. and the fact that u can think in delay wtf! i guess if u use it enough it becomes natural. agree with the rational behind singing the melodies first
