The jet black insectoid race of aliens, sworn enemies of the predators and Sigourney Weaver. For the Aliens (AKA the Xenomorphs) I used mainly some clicks and hisses from the likes of crocodiles and other movie creatures, and used some unique gurgling screeches, some of which combined with very high-pitched elephant trumpets. I also borrowed a few sound effects from How To Train Your Dragon 3's Deathgrippers.

Considering Jurassic Park used multiple animals to recreate what they think dinosaurs sounded at the time I wouldn't be surprised if the studio used a bellowing crocodile for the xenomorphs hissing.

I used a crocodile hiss for a recreation of the Alien hiss in my sound design project for school. Fit perfectly!!

Considering the fact Alien came out 14 years before Jurassic Park, yet they were editing animal idle sounds with distortion and different pitches makes this quite ahead of it's time literally. Can't help that Alien 2 would win best sound editing for that.
