@@kristinekeycallado7762 hehe.. most kpop are manufactured. Our boys are natural and legit. Pinagaling pa. Writing songs and doing their own choreography. Parang Mamamoo boys version. Pero light lang sa choreo ang mamamoo coz they're more focused on vocals.
I respect your opinion & u have point that the agency's in korea think of their artist as a business coz thats definitely their job. But the ARTIST itself is NOT they are truely GENUINE. They dream and they believe. Blood sweat and tears..! Like SB19 they give a lot coz they dream and they believe thats why they are genuine.
They would like to be referred as a P-POP GROUP since they are full-blooded Filipinos and their songs are in tagalog. It's just that they are under a Korean Entertainment Company. But thank you for reacting to them and giving them a shot. All the love ❤️
I LOVE WATCHING MGN his reaction is Lit ! I've been watching his reaction video for 4 years now and I'm a solid fan. That's why it took me realized to make my own reaction video about SB19's song Go up. INSPIRED !!!
Thank you Ovela. I want you to know that it's been two weeks since I am looking for your reaction on this new PPop SB19 you can also check their dance practice and tilaluha song . Their fans are called Aurum. So as an Aurum your reaction really means a lot. Thanks again.lovelots
"If they actually singing live like that, it's impressive" - yes their live vocals are very impressive..they sang the same way when its live specially the guy in the center(Stell)..its like they're eating their CDs because its really good..😊😍
Actually, we SB19 fans, feel the genuineness of their works or chosen career. In fact, SB19 themselves wrote the lyrics and the choreography. The message of the song is their group's goal to reach their dreams no matter what it takes. Thats why they titled it "Go Up". Coz we know its not easy to continue when many people around you dont accept the path you want to lead on. They dedicate the song for those people who are struggling to reach their dreams. Go Up it feels like giving me an inspiration. I dont want to be so dramatic or what, but atleast the message/lyrics is not just a couple of sentences you made out of no where. Also, I'm very happy that they finally going up now. Recognized and appreciated. PS: I recommend their DANCE PRACTICE video instead of its music video. And thank you for giving them a chance :)
SB19, also known as Sound Break 19, is a five-member Filipino boy band formed under ShowBT Entertainment. The group consists of members Sejun, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin. They are the first Filipino trained in the Philippines by a Korean entertainment company under the same system that catapulted K-pop artists into global stardom. #Award Year Recipient(s) and Nominee(s) Category Result References RAWR Awards 2019 SB19# *Favorite Group of the Year Won *PPOP Awards For Young Artist Most Favorite POP Boy Group of the Year Won *PMPC Star Awards For Music 2019 2020 New Group Artist of the Year Nominated *5th Wish Music Awards Breakthrough Artist of the Year Won *Go Up Wishclusive Pop Performance of the Year Won "SB19 Wishers' Choice Award Won *Village Pipol Choice Awards 2019 Group Performer of the Year Won *A'TIN Fandom Of The Year Won *The 10th TV Series Craze Awards 2019 SB19 "Breakthrough Artist of the Year Won *Fastest Rising Boygroup Won *Push Awards Year 5 Go Up Original Song of the Year Nominated *Music Rank Extra Awards SB19 Asia's Boy Group Pending *Next Big Thing Pending *#MREAwards Top Social Artist Pending *51st Box Office Entertainment Awards Promising Recording/Performing Group Won
Wow i didn't know that...these guys deserve much much more...and adding up to their awards are the 3 awards theyve got from myx ...congratulations guys😊
They're style is kpop-influenced since they r under Korean management but, they keep mentioning on their interviews that their music is still considered an OPM(PPop). These guys r very talented. They dont just sing or dance, they composed their own songs and choreographed their own dance. They may not have the best visuals but, they have the best and amazing talent. I think, Filipinos will not support them if they r not that good. We hav filipino groups too but they dont get as much attention as SB19. Their vocals r incredible especially Sejun(orange jacket) and Stell (blonde guy). Their dancing is impressive. Check out their dance practice video on their channel. They all hav their strengths. These 5 talented guys in 1 group. Amazing. 👍
They under the Korean entertainment called show bts. But meaning of sb19 sb stand for "sound break" 19 means country code of Korea and philipines 82 and 63 which 8+2+6+3 =19
As if western pop isn't straight from corporate 😂 many pop stars came straight from the Disney factory. The only difference is they were "trained" publicly by being Disney actors for years first. Also many western songs are pushed to mainstream through money. Payola on radio networks & they also pay for RU-vid ads. They're popular because of the massive corporate push behind them. That's why you hear them EVERYWHERE. This "Kpop so corporate!" thinking is plainly xenophobia and/or racism.
They are trained under a korean entertainment but they want to promote Ppop , a Filipino pop. React to their Live performance of Go Up, Tilaluha or Hanggang Huli. 💕
Thank you for your honest opinion about SB19. It's always good to watch reviews from technical people. Because there are a lot to learn specially in this kind of industry. I can see that you clearly don't prefer this kind of music but still you manage to point out the areas that needed to be improved and most specially their strengths. I'll be on the look out for these aspects of their journey as a P-Pop (Filipino Pop) idol group. ^_^
I like your honest reaction, unlike other RU-vidrs out there that are just saying good things to get more likes. Just so you know, SB19 composed their songs, all of them can dance, rap and sing, that is probably why us Filipinos are proud of them.
Please see their Dance Practice especially for Go Up. That will really give justice for their outstanding skills. Just listening to just this song is not really enough to give justice on how outstanding they are. I know, they are outstanding. So outstanding!
4:18 Agree. This is just me but I feel like Kpop is also fruit of Korean perfectionism culture. As a teen I got sucked into the Kpop world because they "sell" it well you know. As I got older, I grew distant with the industry and only followed one group. Kpop is very manufactured. The entertainment companies invest in their "products" and generate a lot of money....Sad reality... BUT My thing is though, if you find a group of artists that TRULY deserve all the love, why not give them all the love you can give and be a genuine fan? :) You should definitely check out their Dance Practice Video to this song since we all know you appreciate some good dancing!
This isn't unique to Kpop. Any Pop music is like this. Disney for example churns out a lot of child actors turned pop stars. This is just another example of Western opinion making Asian cultures look weird/wrong for being basically the same thing.
They were actually doing lots of adlibs there and harmonization . They write their own songs, and make their own choreographies. The company let them handle their own craft (like bts) cause that's the only way they can connect to their fans ❤
Ovela, my man. You are always the best Reactor for us Filipinos! I know you don't understand much of our language but still you give honest, clear and precise commentaries about our singers. Especially this new PhPop boyband. No matter what you do, thank you for doing what you love and Maraming Salamat sa iyong supporta! (Thank you very much for your support!) brotherly love from the Philippines!
I think you need to watch their live performance on Music & Letters ... You can clearly hear their vocals while dancing... Thank you for giving them your precious time. I hope you enjoyed their performance. 😊
2018-2019: Starting year and rise to stardom Before their debut, most of them trained for at least 2 years in ShowBT Philippines. The company's goal was to produce talented individuals who have the passion and drive to make it in the industry. The group debuted on October 26, 2018, with their first single, Tilaluha. They made their comeback on July 26, 2019, as they released a music video on RU-vid for their second single, Go Up. Their main goal is to break into the music scene of the Philippines with their 'new and fresh sound'. The group has five members: Ken, Sejun, Stell, Josh, and Justin. They started to achieve mainstream popularity when a dance practice video of their second single "Go Up" went viral on Twitter last September 2, 2019. On November 14, 2019 the group won their first ever local award as Favorite Group of the Year by the RAWR Awards 5th edition. The group unveiled its official fan base name, A'TIN (eighteen), on November 2, 2019. In a Facebook Live video, SB19 elaborated on the significance of the fandom name. SB19 made history on November 20, 2019 as the first Filipino group to land a spot on the Billboard's Next Big Sound Chart. According to the Billboard report, the Next Big Sound chart measures "the fastest growing artists over the past week across all major social music sites that are statistically expected to achieve future success." The chart is calculated by Next Big Sound, an American company that provides online music analysis. On December 25, SB19 signed contract under the label of Sony Music Philippines. 2019-2020: Mainstream breakthrough On December 22, 2019, the group embarked on the first leg of their 10-city “Get in the Zone” free concert tour, starting with Negros Occidental and through 2020, on other major cities in the Philippines. Furthermore, it was announced on January 12, 2020 at ASAP Natin 'To that SB19 will be a regular guest for the month of January. On February 25, 2020, the group once again made a history by being the first Filipino artist to simultaneously chart at three Billboard charts namely Billboard Next Big Sound at #6, Billboard Social 50 Rank #7, Billboard Emerging Artist Rank #35
I love your reaction in this video!!! I'm looking forward to see more of your upcoming reaction videos to SB19!!! Kamsahamnida!!! SB19!!! fighting!!! 💜💜💜
Respect on your comments but this group is one of the most genuine artist I have seen for Filipinos. These guys do all the hardwork as the the writers, choreographers and even their own creative artists. These guys have come a long way after you reviewed them 3 years ago and even went on to finish their world tour in 2022. I have so much respect to the talent and artistry of these guys.
Yeah stell can belt that high notes, you should watch their fan cam vids they don't lip sync and don't have earpieces like koreans do, but they can reeeeaaally harmonize. Amazing talents!
Omyghad tenkyuuuuuuu!!!!!! Finally it's here!!! Aaackkk!!! Ps. You should totally watch the mv and the dance practice video. Also, any other live performances. They are GOOD.
I always love watching your vlog, yes sir thier singing live and i like thier ballad songs, the guy in the middle was stell im so impres to him when he start singing i have nothing by whitney houston my jaw drop he sing it in the original key,and then the leader sejun wearing orange jacket cover a song turn it off by paramore, hayley william recognize him. Sb19 cover song bakit ba ikaw was so good, one thing i love ppop they always singing live even if they only 3 mics.,thank u sir.
Thank you Ovela for reacting to our boys SB19! You're one of my favorite reactor! If you have time please react to their ballad song TILALUHA, HANGGANG SA HULI and their cover of Michael Pangilinan's song BAKIT BA IKAW! Thank you in advance!🙏
I respect your opinion about what you said that the thing about KPOP is not genuine. Well a lot of people can say that. But then I think it is still genuine though because these artists wrote their songs, made the choreography and their company help them to promote their talents and make a living out of it. I agree that this KPOP system is just about training this talented people and picking them who can debut that can be sold to the public but on a positive note, these artists have dreams and they work hard for it. I just think that it is unfair to say that it is not genuine. Anyways thank you for reacting to them!! I used to watch all your videos before. God bless☺️
You should check one of their original unreleased song if you have the time, it is called Love Goes. They are more like backstreet boys and Nsync in that song. Anyways, thank you so much for reacting.
Thank you gor this reaction video of SB19 ♥️ if you wanna check out their dance moves do watch their GO UP Dance practice video and Go Up 2x Speed Dance Challenge. Looking forward to your next reaction video 😊 cheers!!!!
oh you definitely won't make fun of their dance because they are good...they have video of their dance practice and then they have the 2x dance challenge...
They have music video of go up and also dance practice, the music video of tilaluha , live performance of HANGGANG SA HULI, and they also got appearance at ASAP, Rated K, CNN, etc after their debut here in the Philippines. They also do covers of Bts like anpaman, boy with love, and many others.. please do stan them,, they are really talented pinoy who deserves to be recognize
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 *THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REACTING SB19* If you want to hear how skillful their vocals please do listen to their first single *"Tila Luha"* and their new ballad song *"Hanggang sa Huli"* Once again, Thank you so much Ovila...
Hello Ovela! Thanks for giving them a chance!!! By the way they are not KPOP. They are PPOP. People associate them with KPOP because they were trained by a KOREAN COMPANY. But from a Filipino perspective, their song is an OPM (PPop). They are the ones who wrote the song and choreographed their dance. They blew up this month through social media. I hope you will find time checking their BALLAD SONG too. Thank you. Have a great day!
By the way SB stands for "Sound Break" coz the group aims to break into the Philippine Music with their youthful and fresh sound. 19 is the sum of Korea's and Philippines' country codes. Please react to their DANCE PRACTICE. I guess you will find it interesting. Thanks.
When you said "kpop doesn't feel genuine" to be honest there's part in me that was offended. Yes, the thing about kpop artists is that they could be seen as "not genuine" when you never had any experience in being all out to any group. I am a HUGE fan of BtoB and I couldnt be more thankful to be a Melody because I have seen GENUINE artists who create music (yes they create their own music) not to top the charts or be recognized by the world but to let their fans (us, Melodies) feel the love they have for us especially when they said "We don't sell CDs, we sell emotions." Damn my heart! I mean yeah they have to sell albums literally but they care so much more about emotions they can deliver to their fans. So if you say, "Kpop doesn't feel genuine", as a kpop enthusiast for 8 long years, sorry sir i have to disagree.
Yes, I'd like to question that as well. I mean I did agree for a short while considering the competitiveness of companies nowadays but I remember how I got into kpop despite not being able to understand the language. Ain't that music genuity?
