Might want to check with an audiologist for tinnitus. I've got from playing in bands, listening to loud music, and shooting guns without ear-pro. For me, it comes on like when you'd turn on an old projector television and it's the same pitch but profoundly louder. My remedies are background noise and background music when it starts. Or you're just like the 90 some percent of the global population that experiences ringing during silence. It would be best to get checked out just in case it is something that may need correction.
@@JohnDoe-vf2yo for alot of people, myself aswell, it's not something that can be fixed or corrected. You can ease it with certain things, but it will always be there. Expensive tinnitus hearing aids is an option but seems barbaric and obvious that you are wearing one. Some people report a temporary 90% noise reduction after small to heavy doses of psilocybin mushrooms, but it's just whispers on discussion boards, nothing medically tested. Noise returns after a couple of weeks
Yup it's tinnitus. It's super annoying especially when the power goes out after stormy night and there isn't any sound because the power is off. Terrible sound.
@@JohnDoe-vf2yo ill be honest. That ringing can get annoying in silence. When I was little I didn't know what it was and it pissed me off, It ended up itching the inside of my forehead and people thought I was nuts lmao
I thought my speakers were not working, then my son walked in covering his ears complaining of the loud sound. haha. I couldn't hear any of them until number 5
Our dog heard it. He's a chihuahua. Maybe it works for some breeds? Or your dog might have hard of hearing? Try to put the volume all the way up. I used my cell phone and it worked.
I can hear all of them. The first is like higher pitched static, the second is so high pitched that I can't compare it to anything else, 3 is almost impossible to hear, but still there, 4 is that ringing in my ears, 5 is that sound that makes me frantically look around the room wondering if other people heard it too, 6 is physically painful, 7 is a medium pitched hum, 8 is like electricity in the walls.
Number 5 is what I've been hearing in my left ear non stop since I was 14. The good news is though that it's sometimes so silent I don't even hear it. Appreciate your health everyone.
Same with my 13 year old cockier espaniel lost his hearing 1 year ago and he heard the 5th and 7th one!his head looked around and he got up then started wagging his tail!
It could be one of 3 things. They could be lying. It could be the placebo effect (where they imagine that they hear something and act as if it actually happened). Or they have really good hearing and can actually hear it. Remember, the younger someone is, often the higher frequencies they would hear. I remember being in the last few years of middle school, and I’d play a 18-20k hertz sound on my speakers that I hid in my jacket during recess to deter all the younger kids from messing with our snow forts. No one would know where exactly it came from, because at a frequency that high it feels as if it’s surrounding you. It doesn’t work as well in high school, but every now and then you hear a “Do you hear that?” from across the room and get a laugh out of it.
Thank you for that. It would be especially interesting if you showed one (or more) dog(s), and then activated the respective whistles, to see what kind of response you might get by a given whistle for a given breed.
Hahaha I was looking for something as a dog whistle and I wanted to see if it would work with my dog. Oh my goodness let me tell you this dog was freaking out and came running across the yard and back to the house. That is the coolest ever thank you so much for uploading this
Dogs have sensitive ears...just to put it mildly. High pitched sounds aside...even an ambulance or fire truck which even people find offensive...for a dog it's quite painful. I would never own a dog in a moderate to large city...for this exact reason.
@@barrondeville1866 bullshit. Dogs' ear are sensetive that doesnt mean a city noise would hurt them plus this frequence had no relevence to ear sensitivty... Even most human ears will hurt from high pitch. Dogs have higher range so they can hear these frequencies thats it.
The first one is what I thought I was hallucinating but turned out one of my neighbours got one of those ultrasonic pest repeller things for their garden
NyaNeko Kawaii! It's because, as you get older, your ears can only pick up certain sounds. The younger you are, the higher sounds you can heart but if you are older you can't hear those noises anymore. So I am guessing you are older😅
It's night here and our dog's been missing for about half an hour. I played this and my dog came running to me. Don't know if it's because of the sound or something else but thank you very much anyway!
My puppy stopped barking when this played he usally barks when my sister takes him and our other dog out one at a time, he gets mad and barks to make sure we hear him.
My dog didn't respond, and it's hearing is extremely good. I could open a bag to get cheese out of downstairs, and it's 1000 feet away in the house. it will run over to it.
I played this for my dogs but instead my drunk roommate thought it was his ears ringing and was describing the ringing to me and shouting "THERE'S ANOTHER ONE MY EARS ARE FUCKIN WITH ME!!" all the while I'm dying laughing, it caught my human roommates attention but my dogs didn't give a damn
My dog heard the first one because his ears were moving by the end he was a bit upset. These sounds are on what level? Hopefully, it's not dangerous?! My girl came running in by the 4th or 5th whistle. She's fierce.
I brought my dog (Cockapoo) in the room and played the first sound full blast and her ears perked up a bit. And by full blast, I mean RU-vid video sound, my PC was at like forty and my TV was something like 10.
As soon as I played this video, my dog raised her head and started to listen. She didn't care for whistles #6 to #8 though. She did hear the sounds right away from 1 to 5.
My 3 month old puppy was on the hill in our backyard and would not come down. She ran straight to me after she heard one of the last frequencies. Amazing!
