After becoming a musician myself and getting whatever limited knowledge about gear and tone that I have acquired today, I’ve concluded bfmv have always had a killer tone. Their tone is veeeery under appreciated.

I've always really enjoyed the chugging mixed with the lead harmony in the specific way that Bullet does it. They're a really cool band.

For the "look factor" comment, trying to stay roughly on budget if I can. Padge: ESP LTD V50 in black (or white if you want to look like his one-off custom with the floyd he tunes in D for Raising Hell and Scream, Aim, Fire) £290 EMG Pickups: around £150-£200 with the wiring kit. Guitar+pickups: around £500, continue with the rest of the video. Me personally: I'm lucky enough to have a used ESP LTD MP-600 (Paget signature series) that I got for £499.99 Matt: So, I can either go with his Jackson look or his more recent Gibson look with the Kirk V's. BC rich no longer makes Vs to my knowledge and they were a custom shape anyway, so you wouldn't be able to get a match without buying a Matt Tuck model Gibson Style: Annoyingly, Epiphone don't currently do a V in black, so your option is to either go with the Korina (£438) and get the EMG 81/85 which works out at around £640, or get the Epiphone Bret Hinds model for £650 which comes with Lace signiture pickups that are also made for metal, so wouldn't be horrible for this. Continue as normal. Jackson Style: Oddly enough, this year Jackson aren't offering an X-series Randy Rhoads with a TOM bridge in right handed (but they do in left handed) so you're looking at a RRX24 in gloss black and just block the floyd off. Comes with Blackouts which I've often heard as "better EMG's" so it should be pretty good. Coming in at £547 with the features it has; it's a steal! Continue as normal and save enough for a decent set of cables or a strap.

Sound like The Cure would be something really special. I think it’s kinda crucial to do a guitar and bass rig rather than two guitars; they’ve been between one, two, and three guitarists back and forth since the get go, and their bass lines make up so much of their sound. Songs like Lullaby and Fascination Street are a must. With Robert Smith using 12 strings, Fender Bass VI’s, and standard electric guitars, there’s a lot of possibilities to dive into.

You have to do the Brian May BY busting the bank. The high end BM replica red special, the BM signature AC30 (at least 2 of them!), his treble booster, stereo delay and you have to shoot it somewhere you can crank the amps to full and blast away (various youtube vids and websites will show you the right amp settings and also pickup settings for each song by the way!). Just as the film's being released. EVERYONE would watch it.

you need a wah for the leads tho... anyhow can we sound like Maroon 5 James Valentine Dream Theater John Petrucci Steve Vai Periphery Misha Mansoor, Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb Van Halen Eddie Van Halen time for the verdict All These Things I Hate - sounded exactly like the original recording so 10/10 Letting You Go - The clean intro didn't really sound alike but the full riffing part is perfect and i give it 8/10 Your Betrayal - The 1st guitar is more heavy and less fluffy sounding but the lead is on point so 9/10 Tears Don't Fall - the lead guitar needed to be more around the bridge pickup and a tad more chorus but it was fine so 9/10 Tears Don't Fall (Middle Section) much better than the intro so 10/10

I'm not particularly familiar with BfmV, but I have to say the guitar sounds you two have hear are absolutely incredible. Not sure if it's the gear or the drop C tuning that I'm hearing most, but I love it!
