Mastodon has always had massive tone since forever, from Remission until today. They've changed their sound and some may not like it, but you can't deny their tones are superb. Bill is a guitar geek and Brent sometimes might not even know what this talking about, but damn they can play.

As soon as Matt used the POG for the octave effect (10:05), I put an octaver in front of my Egnater and tried my LP tuned to Drop C. WHY DIDN'T I TRY THIS ANY SOONER!? It sounds huge, ridiculous, monolithic and every adjective similar to that. My new favorite sound!

Recently I thought that you could try to collect rigs that would be good for a specific genre on three diffrent budgets: really cheap/ begginner, medium price/ mediocore, expensive/ pro. For example 1000£, 2250£ and 4000£? You could try to find guitars, amps and pedals for genres like Indie, metal, punk etc. Think about it, love your videos! Cheers

I think you did a pretty bad job. You got all of the riffs wrong, you should've gotten a v custom and bill's ESP sparrow hawk not the cheaper versions, should've gotten the diesel pedal, should've used the Marshall right behind you and gotten an attenuator. It's obvious you didn't do very much research.
