@@gracepuckett9653 the movie is different from the musical! they bought rights for the movie, so they could basically do whatever they wanted and they flipped it to there. it was written to be in this scene

Maria it’s different in the play than the movie. But yes, in some versions of the play they sing this song during the storm

No, it shouldn't. This is exactly how it was written. The Lonely Goatherd is during the storm scene. It was changed for the movie.
