I never saw this clip before. This group included Cass Elliot, Minnie Pearl, Jeannie C. Riley, Johnny Mathis, John Davidson, The Lennon Sisters, Shirley Jones, and Hershel Bernardi. Was this a special salute to composer Richard Rogers on The Ed Sullivan Show?
I’ve come across this clip recently and im so intrigued upon what it it contextually as well. Always loved the Rodgers and Hart songs that the Mamas and Papas covered, so I quite love gems like this.
C. Elliot was truly loved by so so many! I know E. Sullivan adored her! It's heart wrenching to know she was cut off so fast/early & young. To think where she probably could/would have gone. Nevertheless, God does all things well. P.S. The soul who commented that: this needs to be redone; she sounds truly like a real milinium & if it's that important to her I suggest that she should make time & do it herself !!!
