TGV inOui (stylized TGV ı̣nOui) is a TGV service presented by SNCF on May 27, 2017 for certain routes conducted by high-speed trains. This brand has been applied to all “classic” SNCF TGVs since 2020, all others being grouped under the Ouigo brand (low-cost service).
The name "inOui" (literally: "in yes") came as a surprising move of SNCF (The Société nationale des chemins de fer français -France's national state-owned railway company founded in 1938) to rebrand their TGV (France's intercity high-speed rail service).
“We want to give better and more to our customers, we want them to choose us,” insisted Rachel Picard, the general director in charge of SNCF, who shared an enthusiastic tweet on the same theme: “With YES we affirm our intention to say YES to all trips, all customers and all desires".
The low-cost TGV was not changing its name, it was still called OUIgo. The classic ex-TGV was changing and therefore becoming “InOui”. Replacing the old TGV brand, TGV inOui is now the most high-end rail service offered by SNCF.
In 2017, the inOui TGVs were tested on the Paris - Bordeaux - Toulouse 6 line.
In September 2018, the TGV inOui brand was officially presented. It aimed to replace the old TGV brand with “more comfort, services and connectivity”; in December 2018, these TGVs were traveling to Lille, Marseille and Nice from Paris, before extending to the entire network by 2020, except for connections to Brussels. As of now, the inOui fleet has 280 trains compared to around a hundred in September 2018.
In March 2020, it was planned that the extension of the service would mobilize 95% of the TGV inOui fleet by the end of 2021.

"Inoui" actually means literally "extraordinary" or "unprecedented" :) (where as "Ouigo" means literally... nothing, it's just a pun on the English "we go"). There was a time when SNCF wanted to make "oui" their recognisable brand, their travel agency was named "Oui SNCF" (now SNCF Connect), their long-distance bus service was named "Ouibus" (doesn't mean anything in French, now sold to Blablacar and named after their new owner), etc.... somehow they just gave up, and only "Inoui" and "Ouigo" now remain from the "Oui" naming era.

With that tweet about saying “yes” to customers and desires it was a bit confusing to understand what that “Inoui” is. But I think indeed majority of internet resources prove that it stands more for “extraordinary” rather than for “yes”
