Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir has toured the world with her band, Of Monsters and Men. Now she's branching out with her debut solo album "How To Start A Garden" (out May 5, 2023). Jóhannes Bjarkason sat down with Nanna to talk through the album, her creative process and more.

She is indeed. And the band she's in (monsters and men), i heard a song from that has been one of my favorites. It's called little talks, which I didn't know was performed by them at first, and that the band even existed. And it would have to be one of their most popular songs

Hey Nanna, I stumbled across your music on RU-vid for the group, "Of Monsters and Men." You are very talented and beautiful in music, spirit, and as a person. Keep on making good music. I only wish I was able to keep this dream as I used to be a Lead singer, bassist, and drummer. However, I am no longer in practice and truly miss leading. Nanna,you should come to Denmark,every summer a castle near me have this weekend"-festival "-thing.. The surroundings,would be perfect for you and your beautiful intense songs ,lyrics and sound...
