Oh no, another case of volcano burnout. Unfortunately the only cure is to leave Iceland for a place with boring geology and horrible culture. I recommend Florida. One plus, you can ditch all your 66 North gear!

Wow Meh! I'm so drawn to seeing these events. How they can become such a meh thing. We have tornado and I say meh to them, must be the same thing. I'm still at AWE to see these volcano fissures like wow our earth is creating this lava. Stay safe and keep on tickling our curiosity about the volcano's.
@MrEricmopar
@MrEricmopar Месяц назад
I'm not gonna lie. The same fissure system is right under Grindavik and maintaining the infrastructure and the lava berms is pointless in the long run. Sooner or later, it will erupt inside those lava berms anyways (technically it already has) It's just throwing away money. Some of the commercial structures look like they are metal and they could probably make a new foundation in a safer area and move them, but mostly they are being wasteful of money

Your reporter is absolutely terrible. He seems far too bored and uninterested in a very unique eruption type. I would bet he couldn't erupt like that fissure can.

A board report by a board reporter who is board with the Moon, Volcanoes, The Northern Lights 1:10 'By now they just don't really care'. Everyone may be entitled to their oipinion and when volcanoes are as common as drying paint or basalt on a volcamic Island. Then yes. Some people may get tired of long term events such as The Moon, Full Moon, Solar light or Volcanic eruptions. But I guess if the Sun & Moon switched off due to bordom then some would also get board with the darkness. But if every one just shrugged their shoulders saying they were board with it all then Icelandic heating may get turned off and every one may start to freeze in the approaching winter. Yes it is good to understand that watching paint drying or expecting a lump of basault to do circus somersaults for Iceladic youth entertainment can seem tedius over the years. But the sun and the moon are things that light our day and light our nights. They existed before man and before man knew what time was. So should never be gotten board with. Not for mass distributation anyway. Okay get board with the that which can seem humdrum but 'Let it be'. No need to paint the light black as there is enough darkness in the world. Some one needs to maintain an interest in such as a volcanic eruption on an inhabited Island as Towns are at risk and gas clouds which can turn directions are potential killers. So okay. An individual may get board. But that does not mean every one should be board with those things. If every one was like that science would be back in the stone ages just following their own animal instincts. People's lives depend on the Power Plant and housing in our modern era. So the activities of the volcano needs observations. As it is clear from historical observations that volcanoes in Iceland move about. For entertainment there is RU-vid or paint drying. Many choose RU-vid whilst others may choose a girl. Eitherway when an individule gets board it is likely time for the individule to move on and 'Let the important things be'. There are security issues at stake and so boardom is not something security personel can afford. As when they get board then it is time for their replacement. You could also get board with the weather or water, the sea or snow. But they are part of our world. We can turn our attentions to other things so that we do not get board with life it self. Some things just need to be 'let be'. They are long term. Very long term. Longer than a life time in many cases. LOL- Each to his/her own sometimes.

Well, "meh" is a good thing as far as Grindivik and power plant are concerned! As you said, they are still very impressive to see at night. I saw some video of a commercial flight coming in for a landing at night. The whole cabin was a bit lit with orange. It sure impressed the passengers...and me. I wasn't even in the plane. I didn't realize about the hidden fissure danger on lava fields, but it makes sense.

Why do my messages get removed all the time?
@cosmicmuffin322
@cosmicmuffin322 Месяц назад
RU-vid's censorship is outrageous. Once they target a channel for censorship, they remove more and more of your comments for more and more ridiculous reasons. Most of my comments are instantly deleted. Once they deleted a comment that said "Absolutely! 👏🏻👏🏻" The censorship is out of control.

@markuserikssen
@markuserikssen Месяц назад
Maybe it doesn't come across like that, but his parents lived in Grindavik, so his family really have gone through this difficult time. I can imagine it's awful and stressful for them seeing this happening to their town and region.
@secretpeej
@secretpeej Месяц назад
@@markuserikssen That sounds really difficult, and I am sympathetic. That doesn't change the fact that this video was a real waste of time that provided no new information. I'd love to see a video specifically about the situation in Grindavik and the people affected by it. Or a video about all the people that are sick of the eruptions and volcano tourists. Anything but "meh." The Grapevine RU-vid channel used to fill a real gap in English language news from Iceland. I used to be a paying member of this channel. Now we get a video every couple months, and this one is a new low. It's a shame.
