I have the full concert on cassette tape. I am surprised the concert is not on here. I thought it was at one time. If you hear the David Sylvian 7 inch interview pic disc, the interview was recorded before the concert. I took photos that night also. Met with John Punter and the rest is history.
That concert in Brussels; I was sitting in the first row between 8 david sylvians, 6 mick karns, 3 steve jansens, 2 richard barbieri's, ... and guess what was the colour of my hair ?
At the same time this was the last 'ever' concert being performed at the VUB's big aula as the audience got completely WILD and destroyed some infrastructure :).
@biladd You're welcome! Sadly I had to cut the ending off, but it gives a good sneak peek into a Japan soundcheck though...Even if the sound quality is terrible!
Saw them at the Liverpool Empire. I've never heard a band recreate the same ambience of their recordings live on stage. For me nobody comes close to Japan.
Interesting - they're rehearsing Nightporter but on Oil on Canvas it's supposed to be a new studio version, not live. But this sounds very much the same as that.
