Hey there, I'm putting together a band for the near future. Something where I can play and sing original stuff. Once I have an EP and some songs together, I'll upload something here :)

Oh yeah, 100% I tried to do it as close to the original as possible when I recorded this. While learning the bass lines, I remember thinking "what was he thinking when he wrote this" 😂

Hey man, I go through my mic into my interface and straight to the DAW, using some reverb/delay which are part of the EZmix package and a little compression (as this mic's not the best one and I'm not using a preamp). Not too much going on effects wise other than that. One day I'll upload a clip just playing acoustic and singing along that way. Could make for a cool video :)

Seth Jackson Awesome thanks for the reply man I'm always curious what effects people are using. There are some excellent singers out there but then there's the ones who just have the sound that "It" thing if I was to guess you sound killer acoustic no mic. Do you do Smule karaoke app?

Thanks Jeff! It's a technique of applying heat to your voice while singing, something I've learned over the years. There are some vocal coaches online who explain it better than I ever could. But basically it's adding distortion or "heat" to your voice while maintaining the same pitch. Takes years to get it in the higher register (some professional singers still don't do it because it doesn't work for them) so finding what works best for your particular vocal style is key. Hope that helps 🙂
