Man, I was at this show. The Melvins opened - it was at The Paramount in Seattle. What a great time to be in Seattle and what a great time to see Soundgarden.

Coolest band ever

This was the first Soundgarden song I ever heard back when I was 5 years old. I'm 26 now. I'll also never forget his work with Temple of the Dog either.

Chris voice is so raw here and so much energy, actually it is a telling of what was too come. Does any know why Chris is giving a thumbs up at 1:36? Obviously something cool, maybe a stage dive? @ 3:00 look out they hit overdrive!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw them around this time. It was just before Badmotorfinger came out and they were playing a bunch of shows in Seattle un announced. But me and my friends had the inside scoop and heard Soundgarden was playing. One time they posted on the billboards that the Jackofficers were playing. So we went to see the Jackofficers and saw Soundgarden instead.

As this old man pushing 60 presses replay for what is likely the 40th time I still feel like I missed the most incredible, beautiful atomic fusion of talent since time began.....I am humbled

SoundGarden is one of those bands that with RARELY exceptions ALL the members are top level musicians, just like the Beatles or PinkFloyd, where all the members were talented and multifaceted. The bassist (Ben Shepherd) is a monster, the drummer (Matt Cameron) is a killer, the guitarist (Kim Thayil) is breathtaking in the tuning and complexity of the riffs, and Cornell sings like a God of Olympus, as well as playing very well, it's a band that has everything in terms of music, composition, chords, sonority, it's like a classical music show where the Maestro is rock n roll.

I know Chris had to follow his True North Star. But can you imagine if he had stayed with Soundgarden? Imagine. Forever in our hearts 💕
