Soundi vieraili Children Of Bodomin kahdeksannen albumin äänityksissä, sekä studiossa että treenikämpällä. Alexi Laihon haastattelu: www.soundi.fi Kuvaus: Timo Isoaho & Petri Silas, editointi: Mikko Meriläinen Soundi 2013
Alexi: That's basically the main riff Janne: Our last few albums went more heavy and simple, but there's all kinds of mysterious wankery here. I'd put it between the 3rd and 4th album or maybe even the 2nd and 3rd Alexi and Janne talk about how to play something. Roope: Suddenly there's more Norway stuff in it than before. Janne: Some Burzum stuck in the cd player. That's were it began (He says it as a joke)
I knew the album is gonna be amazing as soon as I heard these first seconds of Transference on this video back in early 2013. Seems like a lifetime ago.
I don't remember anything like this growing up. I think we were stuck with magazine articles and stupid things. It's REALLY awesome that bands upload videos like this. Actually, this is the first time I've ever seen a video of band members actually composing and how the relationship works between them. Alexi composing on a guitar, and transferring it to keyboards.
@MrCrossover2000,&@hijacker1234565 I'd love it if they had both cover songs on the album. Maybe that Cruel Summer (I know too well) will be in the next album.
EVERYTHING points to this being a good album. Back to with the people that gave us the first 3, jokes about black metal and Norway... I'm fucking hyped!
00:00-00:35 is going to be such a great song, I can tell already. This album has a destiny to be one of the raddest metal albums of all time. SO PYSCHED!!! I only hope Alexi and Roope do more solos on this record, as well as make the solos more dynamic, jaw dropping, and epic. Pull out all the fuckin' stops on this one guys. Blow us away! Don't be shy when it comes solo time.
Roope thinks about what he could say = "Souds good" & "We'll see when we get to record the guitars" Alexi and some one talking about how to play something Janne: All drums are done, now for the cover songs.
very very interesting. love the thing alexi does at 2:44 before song starts ha, but really happy they have changed and that bit at the end 2:45 is proof, because personally RRF was abit stale for me(but a great album and great songs). it was time for change and i like it alot, im interested and i respect it!! COBHC \M/
Honestly, RRF wasn't too stale to me. It seemed like them turning more to their roots, just a little more thrashy I guess, but just as melodic and fast paced as previous albums. I found it to be a step back from AYDY and BloodDrunk. I like those albums, but you can't go wrong with old school bodom. ;D From what I hear about the new album it looks like its gonna be awesome.
This makes me to think of something wild album. Lets hope they will do good music this time instead of try to get more teenage girls into false metal. The 3 first albums where amazing.
the song writing as a whole(which really is what truly matters most in music), the melodies, solos..all the best. sure theres more proficient and more everything of a player as far as skill goes but this dude was skilled with the most important part, his own epic energy that he is and able to create songs with. He actually coulda been as great as the very best imo, its only cuz we come to find out, he was on opiates and of course the alcohol. Opiates will RUIN your mind, body, n soul for music, physical and non..i know this all too well ha..but ya, imagine if he was just clean n sober the whole time..he'd be up there with anyone you can name, easssssily!
Roope should take the stick and start ripping again! Waste of talent not playing! It was tough for him to get kicked out, he is as good as Alexi with guitar, maybe better...
