You never cease to amaze us with your unique ability to examine the more curious & lesser-known brands! It's duly recognized & highly appreciated! Your contributions are carving a distinctive path into the audio reviews landscape... keep up the tremendous work, Akros (aka TonyTex)! [BTW methinks I liked the SR5 way more than you did 😄]
Thank you for the kind words and recognition...feel blessed and honoured to be contributing in a positive manner. As for SR5.....I like it.....just feel it needs to clean up some rough edges and then become a true contender!
Personally I'd like to see manufacturers include no accessories at all (no cable, no tips, no case) rather than subpar ones that you'll need to replace anyway. Cut costs where they're unnecessary and put all the money into the IEM's build and performance.
I actually asked a company for that and they refused. We were buying many sets also. We supply iems for local acts, opening acts, festivals, etc, and we Always change the cables and the tips, so it would seem a good idea to sell them as iems alone. We keep 100-150 sets in stock, so it would have been good for them too. All the best, Sonny T
Tony, don’t change a thing about your reviewing style. Your comparisons are so well articulated, it’s the next best thing to actually having the iems in your ears. Thanks to you and everyone over at the Short Bus. As far as a 1+4 hybrid, I think I’ll stick with my Mega5p set for a while longer. Cheers.
I've been enjoying my SR-5 for almost 2 months now. They are incredibly good for the 150 USD they cost. I have stopped using my S12s and my DT600s since I got them lol.
@@alexfizz7402...Can you please tell me how would you describe the differences in sound between S12Pro and SR5? I understand that both of them were used by you.
Thanks for your videos. It would be usefull if you list the iem names you showed in the video in the description. Some people will not know the iems previously.
The big and expensive manufacturers should start to be scared about what is happening. What you can get in sound quality for a small buck is insane now. Also nice video as always Tony.
Been seeing these Soundrhyme iems on sale here in China for years now, but there never was an English review of these I could find anywhere. Thanks for this review!
You are the only person I know who has the following iems: Kiiboom allure SIMGOT EA500 SoundRhyme SR5 Could you tell me how they compare in terms of tonality, bass, mids and treble?
Excellent review, Akros. I bought the Yanyin Canon based on your review and recommendation of it a few months ago and have been enjoying it thoroughly. I thank you for that.
@@akros9333, true! It’s absolutely stunning for my taste. I’ve been using it in 000 setting for live monitoring while recording and also for casual music listening. I’ll try the other settings eventually. You are doing excellent work. Best wishes for the forthcoming reviews!
Was hoping for this! I was about to purchase the SR5 today, but after this video I don't think I will. I love the EST50 and trust your ears. I want an option with some more clarity without sacrificing too much bass and musicality. Perhaps the P5 is a good option? 🤔 Also very eager to hear your opinion on the SR8 and DTE500
@@VanDungLe2510 EST50 is a great candidate for endgame in the sound it brings! I am no longer interested in searching for that perfect bassy iem, because I love my EST50. But I would like something with more clarity to compliment it
Man, you got all the iems I was curious about in comparison except for the Xenns tea 2. Its been selling for 200usd a lot lately on Ali. Also JuzEar just released a collaboration with AngelEars called "flame" looks to be a retuning of the 41t. My question for you if youre able is which would you say would be best for heavy metal? Also hope to see a review of the flame. Good work and I subbed🤙
Hi....well I was gonna include the Tea2 but I didn't know it was possible to get for 200usd You have a link please. As for Flame it's arriving , So I will make necessary comparison as soon as it does. For heavy metal in my opinion you want something which is capable of handling the complexity of the songs. I would say the H50 and Yanyin Cannon are the best two options.
that should be only said of the queen of audio vesper 2 79$ musical charmer and pink lady 119$ detail monster. i recommend it with the tempotec sonata hd 2
@@jasonkwan7636 Depend on your budget abd what you're looking for. Personally, 300$ is my max budget so i'd go with Penon Serial (warm+dark+easy to chill), ISN H50 (trying out whacky yet good tuning) and Hisenior Mega 5p (harman ish, recently retune)
... Absolutely no offense, brother, just a remark!) I like the reviews, really informative, but damn it - something needs to be done with the nails! (Maybe go to a manicurist???)(
