Amazed by her voice its phenomenal.....I read the comments first before I wrote this....I knew there was gonna be some people judging by who she is as a person.....she is after all Navajo....those people that are judging where did you come from....Didn't you have your grandparents or your paternal grandparents?....from my understanding my grandparents thought me to be nice and also embrace all human kinds don't judge it's not our place to do so.....I believe in my Higher Power.....if you go to ceremonies than you should know to be obedient and have discipline.....by the way Radmilla Cody carries herself and the way she speaks is louder than the judgement she gets you can just feel that vibe just by watching this clip.....and by that she was taught very well by her grandmother....strong, resilient, powerful gorgeous Dine women......we should be embracing all races that also represents the four sacred direction white (Bilagáana, White people) , yellow (Náátsʼósí, Chinese), black (Zhinii, African Americans) and red (Indigenous People).....hopefully the next time anybody thinks about judging think about your ancestors.....that is all as you were

i worked on the navajo reservation daily until March 2020 when the pandemic hit. not many people sing anymore even though back a hundred years ago, the men sang horse songs, baby songs, crop songs, traveling songs. with the modern world at it's wits, it is nice to come onto this channel and hear these songs. i was just auditioning for hollywood execs and forgot parts of the sha nasha song. i didn't get to sing it anyway because the producers wanted to know more about what i was wearing. as a child on the reservation, i remember women singing with a drum. recently, i heard women should not drum. um, that's news to me! come to a ceremony, you'll hear the ladies arguing about how a ceremony should be conducted. "you're suppose to do it this way" ha ha. we are all relatives, we are the five fingered people. there used to be beings with three fingers running around eating children. if you fight with each other, those beings will materialize and bite you in the neck. ha ha wow, she is singing a horse song. cool. there are nuances she does with her voice that is her own style. other navajos don't sing like that. my uncles sang in the Klagetoh singers group. my father sang in the wingate valley boys group. keep singing my friends.

She came to my University and meet her in person. It was an honor to meet such a wonderful woman.

I had the opportunity to meet her as a 5th grader in our Navajo Leadership Program at Borrego Pass School way back. I grew up with my Navajo family and I didn't understand English until at least 3rd to 5th grade. I was shamed for my language and especially for being a woman. Navajo people are welcoming and honestly used for their kindness besides their language. Thank you for keeping our culture real. When she spoke about her grandmother, it spoke more than words. My grandpa said: "Granddaughter learn, always do better!!! Don't get stuck I know we will die but it's up to you and it is okay to let go of the past, we're moving worlds, just walk in beauty."

It's always interesting to read comments when Radmilla speaks or sings or is provided a public forum. She remains a dynamic persona from the Navajo Nation. Many persons laud her for her powerful and magnetic personality, she is very well spoken and through all the experiences of her life, unafraid to broach subjects most would not even bring up. For my part, in response to two comments. Radmilla was raised by her Grandmother because her own birth mother left her shortly after Radmilla was born. Her mom was 18. Her birth father was a 43 year old man. Her mom also dealt with her own personal struggles with alcoholism until a reconciliation that is still deeply personal and private to their family and not for us to comment upon. Her Grandma was such an iconic representative of our elders. Indeed, when Radmilla shares reminiscences of her Grandmother, we Diné say, 'Oh yes, my Grandmother said exactly the same thing." Another comment said that she was NOT a good representative for our people? Who then is a stronger one? We Diné are known for how much we borrow, if you will, all the traditions and arts and cultural mores of the indigenous tribes on the lands we traveled through and live besides. You can see this through anthropological and archeological science aside from our own rich oral histories. I caution Diné people who say WE do NOT believe THAT when even from one side of the Navajo Nation might say or inflect a word differently and their traditions might vary. Radmilla IS a representative of we Diné in this modern world. Families differ in how they view multicultural blended families but if your mother and your grandmother are Diné, that's who you ARE. What she shared in this presentation are the same stories I grew up with. Be careful whom you tarnish with your wide brush. Being judgmental about a person's background or life experiences we do not know the full extent of or are privy to speaks more about the limitations YOU place upon yourself. You're the one making your mind small and your world smaller. I can only speak for myself and say that to me, Radmilla is a worthy representative for our people. She has gone through difficult times, she has accepted responsibility for the error of her lapses of judgement, she has endured harsh treatment, she has evolved. She continues to advocate for all those in different stages of evolution. That is also Ké.

Beautiful Indigenous woman. Refreshing that she owns both sides of her beautiful identity, and isn't trying to claim that black people are Indigenous and try to replace the real Indigenous people with black people. We mixed with white and black, and both should be equally accepted and respected.

I really liked her at first, I remember when she came to my high school. I got her autograph and thought wow she knows more of the language than I do even though more half diné. My spouse loved her music as well and always told me I was lucky to have met her. The day I saw her when I was with my spouse I told her how much they wanted to meet her. She came off snobbish and said maybe next time. I mean they were in the rr and it would have taken a few mins. She could have said yeah sure but no. So when I told them we said nope and deleted her music on iTunes and threw away the crap we had then and there.

This is another one of these big govt indians who looks like us, sent out to screw with our heads. The very things she says goes against Navajo beliefs: don't listen to her. Haven't we suffered enough? That's why she speaks at Universities. I don't see her respecting her own elders at her tribe. She identifies as a black woman but claims to native American? There's a reason why she would not be welcome on tribal land, she's dis-respectful!
