I just started ice skating about a year ago and a few months in going to drop in hockey and recently just finished my first season in a rec league (I’m 40)- I live in NYC with no car so it’s tough with a kid/ job to not only get Ice time in but all the rinks are a trek from my apartment- I love it though- this makes me super jealous! I wish I had access to some Ice right out side my home!

great video and love the sounds. The best is when you are skating past the camera between 7:50 and 8:10. They would make great transition sounds for videos!!

Glorious. My favorite sound was the dragging of the "zamboni" flap as it were. Sorry if the wrong words for it, but that calm, gliding sound of coming wonder. The close-second sound for me is the taping-up of the stick. That zip-ZIPPPP is that of a growing energy. This is a gift to us - thank you so much.

Just listening to the sounds, I can almost see the dank arena where I grew up and smell the McCain's pizza sold at the concession stand there. Only thing missing from the video was the twist at the end where Jeremy lies down on the ice only to hear the growl of a grizzly bear. RUUUUNNN!

I miss this. I used to play hockey, and I was really good at it too! But my friends all started calling me a hockey kid and eventually I have into peer pressure and started playing basketball. I can't go a day without being mad at myself for quitting hockey. What I would give to play again. Any tips to help me start playing again?

Its a good video, made well. I came here because I specifically can't stand the sounds of Hockey. You know when the 37 year old steps on the ice, who's super heavy on their skates, but loves the sound of doing C's. You'll hear every one of their strides. The sounds of loose stick handling bugs me too, when there's no other sounds going on, just stick handling.
