The whole Battle for Autobot City is probably the greatest animated action sequence of all time. Music, animation, dialogue... And you know stuff's getting serious when Soundwave sends out four tapes!

It’s ok to like bad thing but when you literally type an entire damn essay on why you can’t handle liking G1 more than the bay films that legit lost over $100 million with a single movie then you have serious issues that need to get looked at or need to get a life with some friends already. Buzzsaw was a later season 2 character that's why he wasn't in the movie. Laserbeak was already in it at the beginning of the movie and then ejects when Soundwave is arguing with the contructicons... Ratbat was a new character so of course they were going to promote him over the condors... You do know this movie was made to sell toys, right...
I am 39 years old. I still remember the first time in the theater in 1986 seeing blaster eject HIS OWN ROBOTS like soundwave. That was awesome!!!!!! For years, soundwave was the only one who could MAKE other robots come from him and MAKE energon cubes. Too bad Michael Bay couldn't remember that.
Perceptor vs the cassette bots is probably my favorite part of the movie. Especially when he throws Rumble on the floor and he jumps back up trying to climb him.
I still remember sitting in the theater and I don’t know why but I was over the top thrilled to see Ratbat. And when Blaster launched his cassettes, I was like this is the best thing I’ve ever seen
To clear up any confusion: Frenzy and Rumble are the Twin Robots. Ravage is the Puma. Rat Bat is the flying Bat. We are missing Buzzsaw and Laser Beak who are the two hawks.
I was watching this clip on the computer with my cousin, a Blaster fan, sitting nearby playing her DS. Just to mess with her, when Blaster said "Optimus Prime, do you read me? The Decepticons are blitzing Autobot City, we're really taking-" and then cut off, I yelled "BOOM! HEADSHOT!" I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT GIRL MOVE AS FAST AS SHE DID. She freaking threw the DS onto the couch, RAN OVER, shoved me out of the way, and then when she found out I was kidding, she slapped me. xD IT WAS HILLARIOUS!
I love this scene, I don't know if anyone else has ever noticed but I always loved how bashed up Thundercracker is as he flies in front of the camera (0.02), and he's still fighting!
Here’s a fun little bit of trivia is his original micro-change incarnation the blaster toy was a working FM radio, but when he got imported and reworked for The Transformers they removed the radio components to make room for his cassettes.
For real, id watch this in the theatre if they were to commemorate a 40th anniversary!!! A theatre full of 80s generation enthusiasts., old skool classmates, and an atmosphere filled with nostalgia!!! I'm down
Buzzsaw was too dangerous to be let out frequently. While Laserbeak was the stealthy type who would avoid direct attacks, Buzzsaw was the type who would enjoy attacking anyone or anything regardless of size.
I've seen this movie I don't know how many times since childhood, and this is the first time I noticed this mistake. At 0:52 Rumble and Frenzy are both the same colors, but at 0:55 Rumble is back to his normal colors. Its amazing the small details you begin to notice when you watch these short clips.
I remember being a kid with my dad and we go by a big semi and all I think of is Megatron must be stopped no matter the cost and I have the soundtrack I would get so excited 😂😎😂

Frenzy was the first one Punched out the window (never to be seen again) Ravage was the Puma that got slammed but crawled back into the fight about 8 seconds later.
1:11 what happened to Frenzy after he got punched by Perceptor? He just kinda… falls into nothingness….? Like, he didn’t shatter the glass or anything.
Lol, frenzy got back handed out of the sound tower through the glass without it breaking The animators did some weird things in the movie. Coloring refelector in ironhide colors at 0:00 is 1 thing. I never noticed it til Artist Stan pointed it out on one of his Transformer videos.
This wasn't the end of the old Cassette Transformers, they actually appeared in Season 5, but sadly it was never dubbed into English. Valid point, but their mission was to stop the transmission to cybertron, which was accomplished, plus they needed an excuse to show off blaster new cassettes, at the end of the day, the movie was a showcase to sell more toys.
