This is true but it’s the reason I love spicy food. You enter with certain dishes knowing full well you will end up with a burnt tongue haha but it’s part of the fun. I don’t eat sour candy often, it’s just fun to have to endure eating a warhead sometimes.

Joe saying that skittle don't taste different kinda brings an end to the show. If you can't tell a yellow vs purple appart blind you really can't argue about food. Sure the "taste" isn't different... But that is because much of what we consider taste, technically is not. Its not even just smelling with your nose, air goes up into the retronasal cavity to effect the experience of "tasting". Like when you are very sick and everything "tastes" weird, technically the taste is unaffected you can no longer "smell" (through the normal passages inside your head). You cannot really separate tasting out like that, that is not how eating works.
