I remember when I use to want to create videos that would spark calm and create peaceful rhythms , but I just didn't know how to, it wasn't until few months ago that I discovered your channel and it all made sense, at first i was blown away thinking why am I just now finding her videos , my point 👉 you are my biggest inspiration and I literally watch your videos to fall asleep. Thank you for being you🤗🤗💜 I believe there is so much more fulfilment in adding value to people's lifes and touching life's one video at a time
Your pumpkin roll was a huge hit at two different Thanksgiving dinners, I’ve made your cinnamon rolls 4 times in 2 weeks, and I’m going to make the coffee cake for church this weekend🙌🏻 Your recipes are AMAZING! I’m NOT a baker (never had a successful batch of brownies), but everything I make of yours turns out phenomenal. Thank you for making my friends and family so well fed and for making this lady a baker.❤️
Hi Lisa, I love your video's. I'm loving that your family does so much together on the farm and that you bake nearly everyday. But in this video you talk about viewers having trouble incorporating the eggs but yet you cut out all of that footage and only showed us the mixer after you had switched to the beater attachment. In order for us to see what can be achieved, I think you should show us the messy parts, (ie; the eggs and milk sloshing around and how long it might take). Thanks for sharing and caring.
One of my New Years goals is to buy less processed stuff, which included bread, English muffins, and tortillas. I have a great starter but I don’t use it enough. I love baking bread so might as well take it up a level! Here’s hoping! ☺️
I love your channel so much! Discovered you a few weeks ago and have been binging your content. I have to eat gluten-free and grain-free and dairy-free because of health issues, but I love getting ideas from you and adapting them to my needs. You are amazing!!!
I’ve been doing a lot of research on milling grains lately. I took the plunge, bought a MockMill and ordered different grains to experiment with. I came across a book that called for all-purpose einkorn flour but, didn’t have the faintest clue what it meant. I scoured RU-vid to find out what the heck it meant and was totally blown away with how easy it is to make it. I learned that you can make all-purpose einkorn by sifting out the bran….yep, it’s that simple. I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of my mill so I can’t get a starter going and get to baking 😋
I just thought I would say love your channel. I’m a suburban mom in Southern California and have started working my way through your recipes, Sourdough bread , all your soups and have bought the Einkorn flour from your links. So good!!!!! I wish you were my neighbor.
i made my vanilla and chocolate cake with my sourdough starter the other day : totally changed the cake : it was absolutely perfect thank for the great inspiration as always !
Lisa that sweater is absolutely gorgeous on you! Where did you get it? Was it a ThreadUp find? This is a great video! I just sent my mom some of my sourdough starter yesterday and will send her this video for some inspiration! We all love a good coffee cake! Such a wonderful video!
I have 2 loaves in the oven now for this week’s work lunch sandwiches and several more waiting their turn to bake. I slice and freeze for future uses since I only get 2 days off in succession every other month. Thank you for your information!
The first thing I learned to bake was coffee cake from Bisquick! Love how it makes a house smells. I agree with others who commented on your sweater. It's really pretty and looks great on you too! Happy and blessed New Year to you, your family and everyone else!!!
I made your recipe of Sourdough Coffee Cake (from your emailed blog post) on Christmas Eve for our Christmas breakfast...it was delicious!! I didn't do the long fermentation, will try it when I have more time. Thank you so much for all your sourdough inspirations. You were the one that got me started on sourdough this March. I had been wanting to try it for a long while. Now our adult son who moved out this summer also started using sourdough!
That coffee cake looks soooo good!!!!! This is why I love your channel.. Watching a beautiful woman cook with such a tender voice... You look so pretty today... Thanks for another nice video!!!! I was going to mention to you about heaters you can put in your water trough so you’re water never freezes... you can get them at any farm store... Just a thought!!! Thanks again for a delicious video!!!!!
I pitched all my sourdough this am - two bowls of not risen properly bread . Why is it so hard to work with ? I will check out your e book, take a very deep breath and try again. You inspire this grandma to be .
yes - definitely try again! Bread requires a mature sourdough starter. Start with recipes like sourdough pancakes & pizza crust as you’re continuing to mature it. at least a month after its established!
Awesome! I had seen blogposts about doing sourdough bread, I just had never seen it in a video before. I will bookmark this for future use. May be even for this weekend? I love all things sourdough haha.
Looks so good!! I started my sourdough starter after seeing you on you tube. I have done the pizza and the pancakes...which both are sooo good. I must try this!! Thank you!
HAPPY NEW YEAR may it bloom with happiness and goodness all year long. May your animal collection grow and your people collection slow ( ha ha ). May God shine his light on this beautiful family and see you in the new year 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
I can't wait to try this. I have to say your cinnamon roll recipe is one of our very favorite ones. If I'm going to keep making them the rest of my life I really need to know how you get the eggs to incorporate??? I tried by hand and on ky mixer. The eggs go mix with my dough at all. What am I doing wrong? I usually use all purpose flour and I ferment the dough overnight...the dough feels so perfect before the eggs. Thanks for helping me and sharing your life and delicious cooking with us!
Tried this cake recipe but I think I messed up the proportions (my own fault for eyeballing most of the ingredients). Will give it another try! I love the idea of long fermenting the batter!
So for some reason my cake crumble didn't crumble lol it just melted on top of the cake BUT nevertheless it was still DELICIOUS....my batter wasnt like a hard ball of dough ( I think I added alittle too much liquid) but it still came out nice . I did have to incorporate eggs into a harder dough for your cinnamon rolls but as long as the dough is room temp it's not bad . The cinnabons were amazing
Could you do a video with tips on how to bake with Eikorn? I’ve just switched over due to allergies but I am finding it difficult to convert my traditional recipes and come out with a light fluffy texture. Thank you
Lisa, This cake with absolutely delicious! But I admit I do not have the time or patience for sourdough. But your sweaters are amazing where do you get them?
im so glad ive found your channel ..im very interested in the sour dough starter ...wow can make cakes ...does it taste sour ?? ive just signed up for the free ebook ...fancinated big thankyou oh n happy new year lets hope 2021 is a much better year as 2020 yikes ...🧡💜
I was surprised that there is no coffee in the cake or icing. So is it called Coffee cake because as you say you like to have a cup of coffee with the cake?
This looks delicious Lisa! I have a quick question. I made a starter 2 weeks ago using whole wheat flour and it is bubbling and doing well. Last night I made rolls by your recipe you shared a few weeks ago and they tasted really sour...like way too sour. Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to combat that? I did leave the sugar out because some folks commented they were sweet so did that make the difference? Thank you for posting these videos. I am giving it a try because of your videos and really want to make it work! Happy New Year!
Can you substitute coconut flour or oat flour for the cinnamon filling and topping? I am able to tolerate the fermented wheat but not unfermented . Thanks
Hi Lisa, I have already enjoyed making this recipe a couple of times! Thank you! I was wondering if one could assemble the whole coffee cake (including filling and crumble) and long ferment in the fridge overnight? So you can just pull it straight out the fridge and into the oven. Would this work?
I've had my sourdough in the refrigerator for a few months not used, it had a black liquid on the top which I removed, but the sourdough is looking a little black and smells very vinegary, is it still ok to feed and carry on?
I have made quite a few of your recipes and liked them all. But I’m gonna pass this one just because of the amount of sugar this requires. I don’t want all my (and the bacteria’s) hard work in making and maintaining the sourdough to go down the drain by the sugar.
