Despite wealth disparity being a hot-button issue across Africa, a report says the continent's millionaire population is set to increase by 65% in the next decade. Over half of Africa's millionaires and 90% of its billionaires live in just five countries: South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya and Morocco. But many of these millionaires are migrating. They do not want to live in Africa anymore. While the number of millionaires across Africa is increasing, so is their outflow. According to Africa Wealth Report 2024, around 900 millionaires are projected to migrate to another country. Why are Africa's rich migrating? What are the top destinations for these millionaires who are migrating? Watch this video for details.

There are other policies, the depreciation of currency is very big concern for high networth individual, for eg Nigerian currency lost 2/3rds of it's value in 1 year. so many millionaires who bought shares in Nigerian company, even if the shares give very good return but due to currency depreciation they lost so much of money. So they would take their investment where it's stable

Why not try and correct the problem causing people to leave, rather than "let them leave" talk and falling lower economically. Sucessful counties work hard to attract and retain wealth, and it works. The mere fact of living a wealthy life means spending large amounts of money and paying taxes. This certainly is more assets the country would have if they don't leave. It's addition, not subtraction you want.

But with the outflows of millionaires is leading to an inflow of foreign corporations and billionaires is some cases who command more power over governments and because a lot of leaders are not wise, they give in due to monies and other "promises" for investments which is by design as colonial governments favoured royal chartered corporations and later individual corporations to own factors of productions, given concessions to operate certain businesses and even direct economic affairs of which is still the case today!! We need innovative and creative ways in overcoming this exploitative economics as given the so called "Paris Climate" agreements, its a way to make a green re-entry on the continent most crucially as it has 60% of the world's remaining arable land, the world's youngest population and the world population being African in a matter of decades,etc, I think they are running out time over these concessions with some having reached or reaching their expiry dates.
