Wonderful video! We loved our time in Lake Naivasha seeing so many hippos. It's great to get an open mouth photo. South Africa is certainly on our list for our next safari.

Thank you so much! It's funny how our non-cruise stuff gets hardly any attention and we also think it can be some of our best and most loved footage, like this here. Lack of views will never stop us doing the vlogs we LOVE, rather than playing to the RU-vid algorithm or popularist click bait. :D

Having lived in Nairobi, Kenya for two years, I so envy you for going on safari. Going on Safari at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. It was absolutely the most exciting & exhilarating vacation I’d ever experience. Your vide brought back those memories from 42 years ago. Ahhh💕

Jeremy Andrews Lungelo our ranger even referred to them as Pumba’s all the time! 😂 Also, the real Pumba’s had exactly the same characteristics as the Lion King one, so Disney we’re very observant. And the Cheeta’s were absolutely gorgeous. So sleek. 😍

As you know, when I drop a larger amount of money on a trip, there are expectations (Looking at you QM2) and sadly some of those times the expectations are not reached (still looking at you QM2), however, pick a four letter word, add holy to the front and you have my feelings towards this place. Now the question is, between Bali, Hong Kong and Wolverhampton, I have to find the right time to head here, I am just floored at how close the animals get, wow, thank you so much for posting this (and really all your videos) fantastic video.

Looks like Jan 2022 we are heading here, we were trying to decide between here and 57 Waterberg. then looked at the small print and 57 only offers one game drive a day.

Thanks for sharing. A question. The first elephant shown looked like it had on a LARGE collar. I assumed it was a tracking collar, but you didn't mention it. Did I guess right? David

David Heinsohn Yes, it’s a GPS tracking collar. I’m not sure why they put them on certain animals and not others. Perhaps the collared ones have a history of being a bit ‘unpredictable’? 🤔

Hmm. Only 3 lions. Somewhat disheartening, as I am looking into booking here. Really want to go somewhere with a nice, full pride. Still, the scenery is beautiful. Rooms are very nice too.

Well, there's a reason for that. Any more and they'd kill everything in sight and there'd be no animals to see. That's why they keep the apex predator count low. I think you'll find it's the same for all reserves. It also makes it even more special when you see them. :)
