There's a reason why this song never left the charts even to this day, years after its release. This song is embedded in every army 💜

Namjoon wrote this masterpiece while sitting under a tree at the park, he said he was inspired by seeing the falling leaves and he wrote it while thinking of the friends he left behind when he moved away from his hometown. And for the lyrics Suga wrote, he said he was thinking abt losing a friend🥲

The image which always hits me is Jin standing at the bottom of the stairwell while the other members are climbing up. His signature "taking a photo" BU persona now feels like he is making a photo frame as his existence is about to become an image in a photobook memories. Those going up the stairs with only a brief look back have left him at the bottom of the stairwell where we see him all alone in a later shot.

The reason ARMYs called this song a queen because this song stays in charts for years. This song always makes me cry specially the mv

The courage of BTS and BigHit in releasing this song/MV should not be overlooked. They could have easily been blacklisted for this, at a time when they were struggling, new artists. (The other popular explanation video is also very good. It analyses specific scenes in the MV a bit more.)

This is such a beautiful but a painful and powerful song. I remember this incident was aired live all day for 2 days on TV until the ferry sank. I remember the kids on the ferry were not panicking at all cause the crew announced that they'll be OK and they believed them. At that time I was too ignorant to understand the truth and just believed what I saw on TV. But thanks to this video made by an Italian ARMY I now know the truth. Kudos to this Italian ARMY who actually travelled to SK and did research and interviewed a few families of the victims.

Like every song BTS makes is so beautiful and meaningful with so many theories and researches involved. Nobody does it like them 😭 They are the most inspiring artists ever. I still wonder how can some people not like them

One thing to remember about Spring Day is to separate the song and the mv. The song is about loss and grief in general and only the mv is a reference to the Sewol tragedy. 💜 And "why?" you ask.....it's about the money and the power; as always it’s about the money and the power! 😤

Not only is this song that contains a sad story, for example, Blood Sweet and Tear has messages that are very deep. The ARMY understands part of it. It talks about the wrong things that People do it and it's called the Seven Mistakes, and they also include fake love, on, black swan, and love maze, and their songs that contain a sad story are the truth untold. Yourself This album contains songs from all the depths of their heart because, unfortunately, in the past they were hated and bullied even by the closest people to them, which is their people BTS. when this just happened, there are clips all over the internet of the students' self recorded videos moments before the ferry sunk. it was really heartbreaking. in one of the video, the boy recorded himself apologizing to his parents and then another boy came in said "this looks like the end" and bfr the the vid ends you could hear "dad, mom i love you". i cried so much watching it bcs all of them were just around my age at the time

This song was written in relation to the Sewol Ferry that happened around that time, it still gives me shivers.... and i truly feel like crying... Basically in short this song actually tells how you feel when you lose someone very close to you or someone you love so much and can't afford to lose them (can be anyone (specifically friendship is mentioned, not necessarily a "lover" "breakup" thingy) as in the seoul ferry the parents lost their kids, kids lost their friends, siblings etc etc... Now The Sewol Ferry that happened was, ALOT of high school students went on a cruise ship for a trip (some people say it was an educational trip, some say it was just a normal fun school trip) and so there is this thing under the ship its like a balloon type of thingy that's there under the ship which is filled with air to keep a balance and to prevent the ship from drowning... so idk how but it got hole in it and water started filling in it which made the ship to start drowning a little, for a while it was all okay but then the teachers and the crew got to know about it as they examined everything so they called the rescue team but NO ONE responded, the students were still unknown of everything happening, they just got the info that there's been a problem in the ship which will be fixed soon and were told to stay in their rooms by then... the captain again asked for a rescue, few tries no one responded then when almost HALF OF THE SHIP was drowned the rescue team came and the teachers and the crew got rescued but they didn't inform the students about the rescue team and left from there, they say that they were in suh a hurry that they "FORGOT" to inform the students about it and almost 304 students died and the teachers saved their own lives leaving those kids behind and then finaly the whole ship drowned, most of the kids died in their rooms waiting for the rescue team as they weren't infromed that the rescue team was already there... and some came out and tried to help themselves and their friends but ended up being unsuccessful.. the rescue team found few of the bodies but couldn't find the rest 4-5 bodies... which included 2 teachers and few studednts Therefore, ALOT of kids died... very few of them survived, i swear if you hear their last words, recordings, call records etc your heart will break into pieces.... All of this was infromed when those few survivors were asked about it in the interviews... This is one of the major major reasons why this song is still on the kcharts up till this date

I am so glad you watched what I can only describe as a mini documentary. This Italian ARMY did such an incredible job, not to mention to show so much respect to the victims, families and the nation as a whole. And even though this is incredibly in the explanation. It leans more towards the incident and the weeks and months that followed in the country, not necessarily on the video. There is another explanation video that goes almost scene by scene and what mean what and some in depth about some things in certain scenes like piles of clothes in different scenes and what the are connected to...please don't get me wrong, yes this ARMY explains some things that are important in the videos, but the other one feels like it goes scene by scene. And I'm not saying you have to watch the other one. What I'm trying to do is give you as much I fo as possible for you to get a full understanding. I believe and have always believed watching both of the explanation videos gives you a more rounded look at what had happened, and how, to this day it still effects Korea as a whole and how this and a few other songs helped and is still helping the country get through it. One last thing, even though this song is now forever connected to the incident. RM didn't orginally write it for the tragedy. He has said that he was talking a walk down by the Han River by their old dorms and started missing his friends and family. He sat on a bench and the words just started coming to mind, which is why the song starts with "I Miss You." This song is one of BTS bravest ever and controversial song. I love the courage, intellect, love and respect put into one in this song. Though they never really admitted directly that this song is somehow related to the Sewol Ferry tragedy, Jin (as usual JinHit Entertainment strikes again lol) admitted in one of their interviews that this song is about an event but has not confirmed what event was it. So much love and respect to BTS for their hard work. They really have brilliant minds for coming up with this beautiful masterpiece that can be pass on to generations to geneeations. If it got out that the ferry sank due to illegal modifications that pres park knew about and would benefit from and students died due to that, it would hurt her political career. rm wrote this song while walking in the park and a leaf landed In Front of him and the lyric came to him but the melody didn´t match so he made the song slower than it was suppose there is a vlive of him explaining it. i think the reason this mv and song is so well put together is the common desire from both members and company to make this song together as one. normally songs can sometimes feel like a job to them and the company but this song came from a deep desire to make a difference so both remembers and big hit made this song magical.

Thank you. I have subscribed because you've taken the time to do the explanation....something many of BTS songs require in order to understand their genius songwriting. IMO, the lyrics and video, in some ways, have different meanings meant to disguise the true meaning behind the message BTS wanted to deliver. Though I tend to depend on DKDKTV for explanations, for this song there are a few different choices...all bringing something new. I too struggled with what the government had to gain. They needed to cover up the illegal modifications that were made to the ship that caused it to sink, by letting it sink, because they were financially invested in the ship AND, of course, it was election season. However, it still doesn't make sense why they didn't rescue the kids. Why were they determined to leave them to die? I would highly recommend the movie Snowpiercer. I haven't read the book Omelas. I think we are just beginning to learn, all around the world, that the Elites in our Societies are willing to sacrifice the lives of others, including children, for their own gain of power. Unfortunately, justice was never really served against the former President. Yes, she was impeached and yes she was sentenced to 22 years in prison, but she only served 4. Ironically, the same President who was elected after her....also the same President who appointed BTS as Korean Ambassadors, made the choice to PARDON her before he left office. Has anyone seen the video that went viral of the 14 yr old boy who was talking to his Mom on his cell phone (while the ship was sinking) and telling her he didn't think he'd make it - the adults told them to stay in place - and that he would always love her and they'd meet again some day? When they recovered his body..somehow they were able to retrieve the message from his phone. Thanks to the Italian Army but Celeste's "Spring Day Explanation" did a more in depth job of explaining the corruption and answers all questions. Her video made millions cry - trust me. 💜💜💜💜
