Boy Meets Evil is like Extreme Level Hard Mode for reactors because the lyrics are really substantively deep and poetic so you want to read him but then the dance is so fire it's hard to take your eyes off him and then the production commands attention too with the bold, heavy brass, and then his delivery is so charismatic both with his rap and vocals...like how do you possibly catch it all in one go?? It's a masterpiece that puts on full display by j-hope is the One True Ace of Kpop.

Thank you very much for the reaction, I literally didn't expect this. Hoseok is arguably the best dancer and performer Kpop has ever witnessed. There is not a single flaw in this guy's execution, everything is balanced. From power and elegance to the bodyline, isolation, coordination, musicality, fluidity, facial expression, emotion, everything basically. And just to give you a brief background, he used to be a very professional and famous streetdancer for about 10 years before joining BTS, He was the national dance championship (when he was only 16) and has won enormous dance battles including JYP's individual dance battles in 2008. (And by 'famous' I literally mean it, he was very well-known in Gwangju, and even after coming to Seoul, he was basically known among different companies' trainees. People knew BTS as "the group having dancer Jung Hoseok" Even V has said multiple times that people in his highschool would ask about this famous dancer, Jung Hoseok- It's Jhope's real name btw. Isn't it just mindblowing?) So you see he already had such a strong foundation, and he is so multi-styled, executing every style so neatly and perfectly not just "good" but "awesomely" . His root style is HipHop and popping (I think It's also one of the reasons he could become such a great rapper since he already was breathing HipHop) But as the multy styled he is, here he's dancing Urban ! (And also an interesting point is that his team name when he was a street dancer was 'Neuron'. you see him mentioning them a lot in his lyrics like in "Chicken noodle soup" and his leader there, Bangester, is now one of Hybe dance directors !!!) He is BTS dance leader and the lead choreographer as well, besides being a main dancer. He has always been one of the major keys in BTS's neat performances. He was already such an undisputed dancer, but now he has become an excellent rapper, songwriter, composer, and producer as well! This song is written by him and Pdogg (one of BTS's main producers) He is just so freaking talented. Man, every time I see Boy meets evil I'm blown away basically, never skipped even a second !! Boy meets evil is the best BTS intro to this date, in my opinion. You see Jhope has created some of the most iconic songs ever in Kpop history (Boy meets evil, Dionysus, Mic drop, Arson, More, etc not even mentioning the rest) He has a talent when it comes to making bangers !!!

I think Boy meets Evil is actually part of the BU bc of the Wings in the video and also the beginning when RM is talking. Some parts of his dancing are also in the Japanese MV for Blood sweat and tears if you look closer + when the room is changing to the colors.

I had the same reaction the first time I saw how fast and how high his leg got up. Wow! This song and music video is a masterpiece but I would love to see your reaction to him rehearsing the stunts/moves. It's like an extended dance practice (But only 3,5 minutes) where he practice the stunts/moves first before we see the full dance practice. I am unclear why Boy Meets Evil would not be BU. Abraxas introduced knowledge into the pristine, serenely existing purity of Eden with the apple. Knowledge begets and continues to beget all manner of things from science to creativity to temptation to evil. It is potentially wonderous and potentially horrendous. Wings has the boys experiencing real things and emotions. They can become dancing stars or just as easily fight to breath in the world their knowledge has taken them to. And yes, when things take an egregious path it is easy to name call Abraxas as the devil.
