The best advice you will ever get is the best home defense gun is the one you trained with the most. The best way is for you to RENTguns at a shooting range. You get to learn how to shoot, and you get to try lots of models, different bullets. So, my personal advice is EDUCATE yourself by going to a shooting range and from there choose a gun that you can handle.
Ryan yes it is true there is more guns than Americans. Specifically in the South I myself own 12 guns but we like to hunt here in the South and We will protect ourselves and our property. 😉👍
I have family in the south but I grew up in the Great Lakes region and my whole family loves hunting. those in the fam that get squeamish on the hunt still love to go plinking. There's always a gun within reach if needed.
Hi Ryan. I own 4 guns. I keep a 38 special beside my bed for that “nightmare scenario” if someone gets past my security cameras, passes the alarms, comes upstairs and happens to wonder into one of four bedrooms where I ‘was’ sleeping. Instead of my 38 special, I’d grab my AK-47. Someone “will dance” that night! I also own a 22 caliber snub nose pistol along with a 22 caliber regular pistol. I’m from Louisiana and we learn young about gun safety first, then how to shoot a gun next. I did hunt when young quite often. I don’t anymore. I enjoy your videos!
For or against the 2nd ? In my humble opinion, any law that was created after the constitution to restrict our gun rights shouldn’t exist. Different states have different laws. As far as what you “can” own ; You can own= machine guns(select or automatic fire), cannons, flamethrowers, mortars, surface to air missiles, tanks (a guy out west has 30+and rents them to Hollywood sometimes), about six months ago I saw advertised fighter jets for sale, and last month I learned that someone bought a warship. You can, and people do own, build, shoot, and exercise these weapons, and as long as you have the money, the space to operate, and the paperwork is right, enjoy. You don’t hear about it much because in general it is just too expensive to waste on thuggish behavior. Patriots can be somewhat private about their business as well when it comes to revealing capabilities, so it is hard to tell who or how many ? The sad part is that the government knows where every piece of this junk is because of the regulations( that shouldn’t exist). The scary part for the government is that making a move to disarm the people would end just as badly as it did for the British. So it’s a constant battle to retain our “God given “ rights, from those who would wish authoritarianism (but of course only if it is their side in charge do they wish it so ). I’m ok with authoritarian rule too as long as they crown me “ruler for all time”. Otherwise forget it. This is the land of the free, and we only maintain our freedom by keeping the government in check. I am already the king. My neighbor is the king too. There’s a girl in Montana that decided organized society was not her thing so she lives in a tent and is a goat herder and teaches survival skills. She is the king too. Government is a necessary evil that every citizen of the world has to deal with. The less involved they are in anything, the better.
I live in Texas and I don’t know anyone that doesn’t have at least one gun. I have a few myself and I carry my 9mm everywhere I go. It holds 16 bullets in the magazine plus one chambered and ready to go. I have 3 extra magazines in my purse. The bullets are all hollow points. In order to buy a gun you have to pass a background check which only takes a few minutes as long as you don’t have a felony conviction or have domestic violence history then you can walk out the door with it. I have a gun carry permit so I don’t even have to go through a background check because I have already passed the background check. Not all states have the same gun laws so you have to be mindful where you can and can’t go when you travel.
5 is rare. People generally don't want to deal with the hassle of getting a tax stamp. It falls under what are called National Firearm Act (NFA) items as they're more strictly regulated by the federal government than the other firearms on this list. People are also don't want to deal with Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) regulations as an example you can't take this NFA short barreled rifle across state lines without written approval from the ATF.
Other states have issues, TX is where you can equip and defend yourself. 12GA, 9mm semi, a revolver ( .45 colt / .410 shot ), AR ( typically 5.56 ). Others can be for practice or fun. A deer rifle (.30 or better ) helps for large game. .22LR is a classic for training, low recoil, and is super cheap to shoot.
We own two guns in our home. One is a nickel plated .357 snub nose revolver loaded with hollow point ammo, the other one is a .38 revolver (Saturday night special)The .357 is better for my husband to fire because it’s like a hand cannon, and too big for me. The .38 is my gun, and it’s not as heavy, so it’s perfect for me. I live in Texas, so a lot of people own guns.
My 12 gauge, break-open, single shot cost $52.00 USD from a pawn shop. A used, double-barrel .410 gauge, which is an excellent child or small woman home defence gun, maybe $100. For a woman's walk around, I'd suggest a hammerless 7 shot .22 revolver. Shoot thru the purse. For you, Colt 1911, .45 ACP. Hollow points all around.
"Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it, and use it well" I have shot most of the firearms on the list minus the vector and the governor. Most states you can but everything - 10-20 states ban things like the vector, ar etc.
It doesn’t get any attention in the media but I think the $1000 semi-auto shotgun is the best house defense gun you can buy. $1000 is a lot of money to most people so the $200 pump is more common. But I’ve also seen almost everyone short rack it into a dead trigger. Especially people that aren’t enthusiasts and this will be their only gun purchase. A pump shotgun really isn’t ideal for middle aged single moms and empty nesters. 🔫 So I stand by my $1000 semi auto. Cheaper semi autos are available but typically low quality imported junk
Ryan, I'm not sure if you have read the 2nd amendment to the US Constitution which states "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed. Doesn't allow for personal protection at home. This is where the individual States set the rules.
I got a glock 19gen5 on my 21st bday(i live im a bad area with my family) i carry everyday in about to be 25 and it isnt scary as long as you understand how they work they dont go off without deliberate effort
The last one is a bad choice. A rifle form factor for shooting pistol ammo inside a house is stoopid. Plus the high cost. The shotguns were good and the 9mm pistol. There are lots to choose from for that caliber. At $500 the Glock is more expensive than many fine competitors... So shop around.
I’m American and don’t agree with guns here!. It’s absolutely ridiculous and the only ones that should have guns are military and law enforcement!! And that’s complete bulllshit about defending our home wuth guns. The wrong people get shot and just causes more violence. This is the one thing I hate about our country that we allow this,
No one needs a gun for self-defense. Gun shops and gun manufacturers have convinced the public that it is essential to have a home gun. The fact is that the average homeowner will never have a need for a gun. The probability of someone breaking into your home while you are there is miniscule. It is all about generating fear. The majority of deaths from homeowners owning guns are accidental shootings of family members. I am a former Marine, and I do not own a gun. There is no need for one at all. The 2nd Amendment should be repealed.
I thank you for your service but my son’s a marine so I’m not sure what went wrong with you but they’ll never take my guns that’s for sure! I can’t even tell my son about your comment, he would be very disappointed!
A quick look at the FBI crime statistics would prove you wrong. There’s plenty of heavily manipulated statistics put out by gun control advocates to fool ignorant people into believing their lies. Every thing you said is complete and utter nonsense!
@@karenbliss8719are you blind to what’s going on in this country with all the gun violence and mass shootings! Americans are dying everyday because of guns! Fuck the 2nd amendment!
If Glock pistols are good enough to be standard issue for our Navy seals, then I'm on board.😂 Glock 19 has to be one of the absolute best all-around home defense, self-defense pistols.
