I've got a couple of older uploads on my channel (Reggie's, the Vilksie ad, etc.). But this one was one of the first using my new capture box. At some point I plan to go through all my old tapes (I have about 100 tapes, with stuff recorded from RSA TV), and upload any rare stuff. However, I had M-NET, so most of the films didn't have adverts.

The opening scene was from "north and south" which aired here in Australia in 1986 or 1987.

North and South came out in November 1985 in the U.S.

A long time ago (15 years ago) I went through all my tapes from this period. I recall that I had one or two adverts. I think a petrol advert, and maybe some kids toys or sweets adverts. Someday I will get around to archiving them.

I remember that one, I think. I do recall seeing one like that - the one with varnish was meant to last longer or something. I'm getting small flashbacks of it. That must have been years ago. Sadly though, I am almost certain it's not in my archive of RSA adverts. Sorry.
