The store became fully involved from the working fire which broke through the roof after arrival of fire units. Distant hydrants limited water supply. Sections of the roof collapsed before firefighters controlled the fire at 611 Bordentown Ave. See Part 2 for washdown operations.

Woww! That's the one near the 35 overpass...I think that was a Foodtown back in the day...I'm not sure about now, but back then, that was pretty much the only supermarket in downtown South Amboy...Most of them were on the outskirts over on Route 9... Probably still is that way...

I could see the Ctown fire from some miles away and I wondered how a fire could start in an abandoned supermarket

It wasn't abandoned it was supposed to open sometime next week because there was a fire in January. My friend lives right next to c town

gamerboy13 I'm near ctown as well, but i was just curious because i didnt know it would open sometime next week cuz it seemed like an odd thing, as this was apparently the 3rd fire since xmas

I was walking downtown, then I saw all the smoke. My house is by c town, it scared the fuck out of me.

So sad today we lost our roller rink the snow was so icy and heavy that part of the roof collapsed in but it wasn't too much but I'm pretty sure it's coming back soon it's repairable The roller rink not Ctown it just got demolished not too long ago
