This is a wonderful way of turning the music on its head. Bacharach was riffing on the Swingle Singers who were known for taking classical instrumental pieces and turning them into songs with simple ba-da-ba lyrics. These folks and put the parody, if you will, it into a classical setting and it works wonderful. Bacharach is a genius.
I LOVE this version! It was the theme for a radio program I used to listen on the French section of the Canadian broadcasting Corporation in the late nineties and it always gave me thrills when I heard it... I never knew that it was composed as a movie sound tract until today...
Excelente!!! Una interpretación maravillosa de un tema de Burt Bacharach de una película que además ya tiene varios temas consagrados como ser Butch Cassidy. GRACIAS!!!
Breathtaking!!! I love the movie cos great actors but mainly for the music. I knew movie version sooner then this one. That cello is just wonderful. Im not really sure wich version i like more :)

@MrEckythump Couldn't agree more. Are you aware of any other pieces like this? This piece reminds me of music used in The Thomas Crown Affair where Steve McQueen is driving the Rolls Royce through the toll booth.
