South Bay Kustom Culture: 1951 Ford Victoria “Icky Vicky”

Nice Vicky. I"m a Shoebox fan myself. I still have one of the many that i have had. The one i kept picked up the name "Moonlight Drifter" I built this 49 Ford 33 years ago and it has since logged 110,000 miles, and the paint and interior look as good as the day I painted it. The color is called "Periwinkle" which is a light lilac, with white tuk-roll marine vinal interior. I'm running the original Flathead V-8 with Offy intake and dual 94 Holley's, fenton headers and dual Smithy 22" steel packs. I also mated a 68 Mustang top loader behind the Flattie, and an 8" Ford Granada rear end. The car cruses easily at 70 MPH and knocks out 22 MPG.

I daily drove a '51 Belair for 5 years up until 3 years ago when I sold it to buy my '49 Ford Club Coupe. It's allllllmost on the road and ready to take on daily driver duty

I grew up in the south bay... I moved to northern cal 7 years ago. Wish I would have known you cats back then. Not much going in the south bay but I hope you can turn that around. Nice Vicky!
