I love Dawn's interviews....she always tells the truth good or bad about her team. She keeps it real and I like how she said that about Flaujae coming to her....so that she can kill any negative narrative on LSU or their players.

It’s nice to see how Dawn speaks with maturity, takes responsibility for her team’s side and doesn’t put anyone down 👑

After hearing Mulkey's ignorant statement that she wished Cardoso would have pushed Angel Reese it's a breath of fresh air to listen to a classy coach like Dawn Staley.

I love how Dawn always gives props to opposing players. She really loves young basketballers and it's cool. And generous.

This interview from the SC coach is in stark contrast to the LSU coach.

These are college kids, we have to extend grace to them. Their brains aren’t even fully developed yet. Overall, it was a great basketball game and shouldn’t be overshadowed by some pushing and shoving, that’s sports. Dawn handled the situation very professionally and actually took responsibility for her team’s part. There’s a reason her team is undefeated.

Coach Staley took accountability for her players actions and commended Flaujunae. Didn't hear Coach Mulkey take any responsibility or remorse. That's why I respect Coach Staley and what she stands for. Coach Mulkey doesn't come close to her in my opinion!

I love her professionalism. She is such an amazing coach and person. Thank you for how you handled today. The young women need to see your example. Continue to represent the African American community with pride and dignity. Means so much

I just love Dawn. Never high, never low, always even. If I had a daughter who was blessed with talent to be recruited by SC, you best believe I would do everything in my power to convince her to play for Dawn. Even if she never started a game or played more than 10 minutes per contest, what she would learn about life from Dawn would be so much more than basketball could ever give her. What a fantastic player Dawn was in her time, a fantastic coach today, and fantastic ambassador for the women's game.

Young people learn by example. Thank you Coach Staley for stepping up and taking accountability for what happened at the end of this game. Sadly, Coach Mulkey couldn't seem to find those words and instead of taking responsibility, she appeared to make excuses and point fingers. Teach by example!

Flau’Jae, a smart Player, sparked the brawl, abused Kamilla throughout the game, ( it was either she or Angel that busted Kamilla in the mouth), she absorbed the push down by Kamilla, outwitted the Ref’s and subsequently got away with everything she did Scott-free!

Unlike LSU this interview showed poise, respect and maturity for the game.

All of can say is Coach Staley is amazing. She dont cut corners and she is all about right is right and wrong is wrong. And doesnt mind giving credit to other teams players. I will say that Kim Mulkey needs training from Coach Staley because her attitude is a reflection of her team.

The difference in Dawn and Kim’s responses is ASTOUNDING. Dawn taking accountability for her players’ actions, acknowledging LSU’s role in the incident too, and tying it all together with speaking about her conversation with Flaujae and making sure she defends her character as a person ..that is class on a whole ‘nother level. I’ve never really had an opinion about Kim mulkey one way or the other. I just knew she was a very successful coach in the sport . But something about her press conference rubbed me the wrong way and almost seemed bigoted. It kind of reminded of me of listening to a politician that I don’t like. Idk.

What a world of difference between the two coaches and their responses. The refs absolutely let this get out of hand but the two coaches couldn't be more different in how they handle this. Staley with class. Mulkey, on the other hand...

The part that I know, for a fact is, I am sure that Dawn has spoken to many of those kids on LSU not just about basketball, but about their business and handling stuff which is why Miss Johnson went up to Dawn after the game and said what she said we know that Dawn talk to Miss Cardozo about it. Dawn is a central piece and she has the ear of many of these young ladies and I’m sure she’s talking to them about their business and how they’re handling things not sure how you don’t like Dawn

Much different than Kim’s presser…. Kim tried to go at Cardoso and dared her to push Reece. Reece isn’t a fighter either. She just talks and is a good player and Leader FJ got pushed AND flopped…. That’s why she didn’t go crazy😂

Great job, Coach Staley, for stepping up and taking that difficult question from a TEENAGER. A reporter should be more professional than to ask a kid that type of question.

Some of y’all have to understand these girls are like family they tell us this day in and day out. Kamilla seeing her sister get pushed down after all the other pushing and pulling was probably her “13th” reason . People complain that you are messing with the lineup They complain, how this one didn't start, and that one didn't start. This was the moment that shows why she is doing that. Preparation for any situation. When the bench players get a chance to start, it does wonders for their confidence, and knowing how to grind out wins. When the starters are not there, the bench can complete the job against the opposing starters for a win.

Dawn such great coach. She show them love and they show each other love. Great team family!

What an example of a girls basketball team, COACH!!!! I respected her before, but now I hold a higher level of respect for her. She is classy as one should be. She holds herself accountable,as she should have. I hear love as she speaks for her players. As for Cardoso, we all have done things that we regretted , the very secret it was done. Do not judge her for today before you go and watch other interviews of her. She may be 6,7”, but her smile and heart is much much more than what we saw today. If there is a person walking on this earth, that has never made a mistake, I would love to meet them. We are not GOD, we all make mistakes!!!! Congratulations on the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

The responses of the 2 team players reflect the coaches' attitudes! These young women are calm and refocused. It's one thing to play the game hard and physical, that's expected. It's something different to play violently. Both teams are tipping too close to the latter. For those who desire a BB career after college, they will have to learn the difference. Play fair, play tough and be safe.
