It’s very simple. South Carolina was the better team, the deeper team, younger team, the better coached team. It’s no surprise they went 38-0 with the amount of effort and efficiency that the staff and the players pour day in and day out. Congrats to both teams for a great season! Can not forget the bench players for SC out scored Iowa 36-0. Shannon you are right, SC throws so many talented, athletic body's at you that they just wear you down. Their bench goes 10 deep. The 5 sitting on the bench is basically another starting 5 for any other college.

South Carolina players have said that Cardoso didn’t know English well when she joined the team, and her teammates stuck by her side and helped her learn the language. Shows a special bond between the teammates

One of the biggest reason they won was 3 things: Raven defense on Clark only allowing her 7 pts when she was the primary defense, bench players out played Iowa starting 5 lol, and the defensive boards/ SC shot the 3 really well! This was a personal revenge game for SC and they bounce back with the best win which won they the national championship! Congratulations on an amazing undefeated season SC 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Also Mytasia Fulwiley added a change of pace and energy turning around after being down 0-10 early. She's another fearless freshman we need to keep an eye on.

This game was lost when Czinano wasn't replaced via the portal. No stud big, no chance. If they played 10x maybe Iowa wins once. SC was 9 deep, way more athletic, and had a great rim protector.

Even though they are losing Cardoso, they have everyone back next year, top 5 recruiting class, the number 2 player in the country coming in and a couple of mcdonalds all American as well. South Carolina had the size advantage with Cardozo being so dominant inside and they're NINE deep. They play nine players and they're all good! Iowa wore down. South Carolina bashed them on the boards. Outrebounded them 51-29 and 18-6 on the offensive glass. A mismatch. South Carolina was clearly the better team!

The free throw attempt discrepancy in the first half is the reason the game was close at half time. Refs influenced the game as much as they could to keep the viewers tuned in and to not allow SC to blow Iowa away.

Just an incredible tourney. It was South Carolinas to lose. Dawn Staley has done a masterful job, what a deep team. Caitlin absolutely showed up and will go down as one of the GOATs, certainly one of the best players in a generation. There were sooooo many good freshmen this year which is scary. Can’t wait for the WNBA season to see Clark team up with Aaliyah Boston.

How come nobody talks about Caitlin’s carelessness with the ball, lack of hustling, and terrible body language? She is a front-runner when she is winning and a sore loser when calls don't go her way. I'm so glad she lost.

I love it....Make it all about SC they were the winning team don't take the focus off them....

She has no defense, she has no inside game, she's avg at rebounding. She's good at shooting long distance and hoping it falls. If I throw up 20 threes, and half of them fall, that's 30 points a game right there. It's called being a COMPLETE player, which she's not. When the long jumper isn't falling, she has NOTHING else to fall on. You can't be the greatest at anything being a ONE trick pony.

Iowa's defense was nowhere close to south carolina, felt like CC was entering a north korean military base as a foreigner every time she went inside the D and south Carolina basically just strolled in and shot whenever they wanted. Not to mention that SC have a literal Amazonian giant on there team, that definitely helps a little

It's been a magical season for the University of South Carolina women's basketball team. After losing all five starters from last year, nobody thought they would be this good. Looking back over the season, they did not pound everybody they played. They struggled at times and had to show some poise and gut out some tough wins. Their bench players showed early on they had the talent to compete and contribute in big ways when called upon. If a player needed a rest or was having an off night, Dawn substituted and they never missed a beat. You never knew who was going to step up and hit a big shot or make a big defensive play but it seems somebody always did. I can't wait for next year.

Game went very similar to last years game. Bigger team over powered and one two players just couldn’t miss. Great game tho.
