Back to Sloth Party today and fortune turned her smile back to us once again. We arrived to a freshly drained pit with new digging exposing some fresh new formation. There was fossil bearing layer everywhere and it was tough to concentrate. First @AncientAdventures and I walked around to pick up what was exposed, but soon we got to hunting with our shovels. Digging for megalodon teeth in South Carolina can be hit or miss, but unlike last time at this spot when I couldn't find a complete tooth to save my life, I actually found some whole megalodon teeth and Diva got one too. Talk about a juxtaposition! Even though a bad day digging teeth is better than a good day at work, there's nothing like a rotten day collecting to truly appreciate a good day.
