I was there, and the complete emotional shift in less than 10 seconds was absolutely incredible! The Vols fans were literally dancing in the aisles of the arena and then were crying 😢!
Ain't no way a real coach told anyone to do that I don't believe that. If the Mavs are down 2, and Lively is at the 3 point line, you think they gonna stand in the paint and let him shoot? Go contest there's literally nothing else to do which she showed by standing there doing nothing. Everyone practices 3s now and everybody can make a wide open 3 doing it down 2 was crazy. That's just a player falling asleep
It actually wasn't a bad defensive call. In 4 years KC had never made a 3. This season she had never even attempted a 3 pointer. Plus they didn't need 3. Tennessee was playing no inside shots. As the smaller team they put an extra defender in the post. In that situation, there isn't a coach in America who had the scouting report on South Carolina that wouldn't have called that same defense.
@@ryane5483 They are inbounding from half court and they gave up a free pass to a wide open shot. That in itself in inexcusable. It doesn’t matter if they have not hit a three in a game. Nearly every college player is capable of hitting threes whether they shoot them in games or not.
Lol, ESPN was ready to run this upset win in the ground with 30mins of nonstop highlights and comments. Now they have to save all that crap for another day!
Lol!! It's kinda funny how they just thought... Meh... Leave her open for a free shot. They'll be feeling that one for the rest of their lives. Play until the final buzzer buzzes, the last whistle blows, and the referees officially call the game over. Period. 💯
The Tennessee coach probably told her players to leave that big girl open, the 6'7" girl is not going to make the three-pointer! They left her open and boom!
In 4 years she has never made a 3 pointer. She hadn't even attempted a 3 pointer this season. It actually wasn't a bad defensive call. Nobody thought they would take a 3 pointer, especially since they didn't need 3.
If Tennessee would’ve won this game, the coach’s job would definitely be solidified for another year or two…this was the end of her tenure, and she knew it
Why did no one at least run at her? A wide open three with less than 2 seconds??? Did the coach forget these are college basketball players not middle school. That was awful defense. But congrats to SC on a huge win! Way to hit the shot! Awesome for them!!!
I felt so bad for the other team😩 They just knew they had won.😢 They are both great teams.. it's just that God had uncommon favor for Coach Staley and her team. It was meant for them to win it all.
🤔 I'm realising that's the same girl ejected in the WOMEN'S U.S.A. game for shoving an opposing team's player . This is a magnificent comeback for her .
Actually it was even worse than just standing around; #2 for Tenneseee was right there and she decided to back away! There was one second left; what was she thinking?!?!
@:15 sec…Her look and disbelief says it ALL!! Great defensive call Coach. I’m pretty sure you told your center just guard the basket, and don’t worry about guarding her on the outside. Just tell everybody dont bother to challenge the shot, just stare at her while she shoots,, she’ll never make it. lol..Could not have been more wrong!!
Coach prob told them not to guard her there! Nobody ever guards Cardoso on the outside cause she ain’t never shot a 3 before tonight! But she practices them though! And got that dub! ❤️🏀🤙🏾
Tennessee coach was on the sidelines sick 🤢 to her stomach. 😂This is what it look like to have your WIN snatched before your very eyes. They proven how they are the best!!
I use to think this can only happen in movies/anime. Like if you watch slam dunk lol. When Sakuragi made his first jump shot, and went in. The opponent underestimates him and thought all he can do is dunk.
I don’t care who it is, or how many 3s they haven’t made, to put no pressure on the shot and leave her wide open is a terrible defensive strategy. Atleast follow her to the top and put a hand up you don’t even have to jump to save you from fouling. I just don’t understand
Tennessee played well. For 39 minutes and 58.9 seconds. They ran down South Carolina and passed them. They had this game won. But, great teams sometimes need luck to get the job done. Here's what seems obvious: Tennessee lost this game because of Kellie Harper. It's bittersweet when a Black person is a leader in sports because they get 1. less time to succeed, 2. way less credit than they deserve when they do well, and 3. way more blame than they deserve when they don't do well. Think Black head coaches and Black quarterbacks. I read about 50 comments: 2 blamed the coach for not having Kamilla guarded, 2 said Kamilla should NOT have been guarded, and 2 said it wasn't surprising because it's women's basketball. Most people will overlook Kellie Harper's mistake but wouldn't do the same had a Black coach made the same mistake. Especially not in the SEC. Nevertheless, great win South Carolina!
Go back an look at the free throw missed by Tennessee on another video. When the S.C player rebounds the ball she double dribbled. That no call by the refs gave s.c. the game.
Yeah but fact she makes them all the time ty Tennessee for walking around on the court not guarding cordoso woooooooooooooo in my nature boy voice GO GAMECOCKS
She doesn't get that shot if Harper didn't tell them to foul after the missed free throw! No way they make a prayer at half court! Tennessee fouling gave them basically a timeout to advance it to half court! Harper isn't a good coach!
Nice gig, but her teammates almost put Kamilla in the hospital😂😂😂😂 She probably would have missed this shot if she knew her teammates were going to knock her down like that😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
